Amazing Rogue Drone discovery raises ethical questions !

News reaches Gutter Press today, of an amazing discovery of Rogue Drone data, that has raised several ethical questions !

An exploration team investigating a Rogue Drone hive uncovered a vast amount of what appears to be scientific reports, of experiments conducted by the Rogue Drones !

The experiments that the Rogue Drones appear to have been conducting, appear to involve testing of human subjects !

Disturbing !

One of the researchers involved had this to say: "The reports contain a huge amount of mathematical formulae, diagrams, tables of numbers and annotated images. There is next to no explanatory text, so what exactly was being tested and what the results show will take a long time to decipher."

Another researcher gave some hints as to what it was that the Rogue Drones were studying: "One of the files shows images of what look like Gallente women, and then it has some images of different fruit and vegetables, then a table of numbers and then it has some images of the Gallente women again, some of which look thinner. I think it's some kind of diet plan, but I can't tell what the results mean. Another file appeared to contain partial schematics for construction of a cybernetic brain, possibly an attempt to mimic a human brain."

Another researcher says that the Rogue Drones appear to have been experimenting with people-shaped drones: "There was an interesting set of images, it looked like a bunch of different human-shaped drones, and there were tables of numbers attached. Some drones that looked like Minmatar had some low numbers attached to their image, while others that looked like Gallente had higher numbers attached. At a guess, I'd say that the Rogue Drones found that Gallente impersonation is easier than Minmatar impersonation, possibly because of the bodymod culture"

Infiltration !

Some science ethics specialists have raised concerns about the use of the data:
"These experiments were obviously conducted on unwilling participants, which goes against any reasonable ethical code", said one University of Caille academic.
"You know, they say that all science is applied, eventually. If we don't use this data, whatever it may be, then it means the people the Drones experimented on died for nothing", said another academic.

Opinions on the streets of Caille were varied:
"Drones, eh? Well, drone space opens up into the Republic and the State, doesn't it ? Let them deal with it", said one disgruntled anti-Roden activist.
"I want to see this Rogue Drone diet plan!", said a sportsball player
"How do I know that you're not a Rogue drone in a people suit?", asked a Quafe vending machine technician.
"Are any of us really sure that we're not Rogue Drones in people suits?", pondered a philosophy student.

My eighth girlfriend was a drone in a people suit for sure. She had a thing about fruit, too. Or was that nine? Hmm. It's probably time to give domestic drones a Senate seat, and send an ambassador to the rogues.

I, for one, welcome our new Drone in people suit overlords.

Really want to make a joke about Kim being a robot that way I can go back to thinking humanity is generally good, and only robots are heartless racists.

My 'wife' is a spaceship.

Still is a spaceship.

She's the best spaceship.

I love my spaceship.

My dear, dear spaceship.

That just raises the question, how many "wives" do you go through in a week? Does she get jealous when you take another one out?

All Gutter Press personnel are subject to regular humanity checks, to guard against the possibility of infomorphic subversion, whatever the source, be it Drifter, Jovian, Rogue Drone, Caldari, Sansha's Nation, or any other organisation.

The humanity checks include emotional responses to questions including "You are in a desert when you see a tortoise, what do you do?", "Your husband comments on a picture of a nude model in a magazine, how outraged are you?", "What's the first thing that comes into your mind when you think about your mother", and many more insightful questions.

What a tortoise is, and what it does, is a closely guarded secret. As long as the Rogue Drones don't find that out, then spotting their attempts at infomorphic subversion should be pretty easy.

I don't have one. But if I did, invite her over for dinner.

I had all her datacore information transferred to a database and uploaded into another ship upon destruction. Far as I am concerned they are all the same ship, with the same programming quirks and everything.

My Rifters are a dime of a dozen. My Breacher is special.

She is my 'wife', not a one-off fling.

Also, I still have not successfully persuaded her to try another body for our next date.

Tristan

Oh, Maker.
Even when I am not around, it's like obligatory for any slow-witted brainwashed gallentean to pop out and start spreading lies about me.

Tristan is an obvious example why gallenteans are not to be negotiated, and that peace with Federation can be achieved only by removing all Federal teeth so they physically will be unable to take any offensive action.

Sorry for offtopic, just can't tolerate gallente lies.

But who runs the checks?

The most sensible place to start infiltrating seems like it would be the people responsible for detecting infiltration.

Have they themselves been subjected to tests they didn't design or administer?
