Lost game access, removed from Corp, what happens to ships on login?

As the title says, we lost game access easily 6 months ago, all personal reasons and what not aside, I reactivated my account yesterday. My departure was not planned.

My character was in -0.5 and part of an alliance/corp. If I recall, 90% of my ships were in POS fields, maybe 1 in neutral station.
I have not logged in to that character, I'm not sure what will happen to my ships as I was (understandably) removed from the corp.

I have yet to see if the corp even still resides in the sector, but regardless, when I log in, if they do will my ships be gone, ejected from POS, destroyed, etc?

I'm just trying to get an idea before I do anything. I am also going to see where the alliance/corp is, determine if there is any chance on a safe recovery.

Depends on the corp.

if you were in my corp i would of sold all yoru **** after 3 months of being gone. esp if i had to move it.

your stuff is either:

a) sold

b) in someones hanger waititng for you (if they knew it was yours)

c) still at the pos (doubtful)

d) destroyed.

best bet is to contact your old ceo and ask.

the technical answer, unless someone moved or messed with your ships, or the pos went pop, they are in the exact same location you left them. this is why even if you get hit with irl crap you need a buddy you trust to move yoru stuff for you, or you try to squeze the time out to move your stuff. but contact your corp ceo.

Im sure once you were booted, your assets that were in the POS were taken by the corp.

If the POS was left there, and the corp didn't know about it (or care), it probably went offline and became someone's loot piñata after any loose ships that were floating the bubble were taken.

Anything left in a POS is pretty much fair game for the taking.

Since the cessation of their usefulness is imminent, may I appropriate your belongings?

If the pos is even still there. If the corp still exist. If your still part of the corp. if no one else had access to them. Then MAYBE a chance your ships are still in the pos. Your stuff in station is still there. Till CCP makes station destruction a thing.

That was sort of my assumption, and if so I accept that (as if I had an option not to), but being the first time I ever left the game unprepared and in a POS, I wasn't sure.

Thanks!

You can log in to the character select screen, should say where your character is. If it's in space (if a station isn't listed), then what can happen is you may warp back to where the POS was, at which point if there's another POS there and it's hostile, it will probably shoot you. Though depending on how fast your ship aligns, you may be able to warp away before any of the guns hit.

Otherwise, ships floating in a POS shield or even in the SMA can be taken by anyone in the corp, so your ships probably are gone. If they were in an outpost or station, they're probably still there, but you won't have docking permission at the outpost.

Sometimes the residents are nice and will allow you to leave, but most of the time they will try to hunt and kill you. Doesn't hurt to ask, though, if you lose the ship you lose the ship oh well, but maybe they'll let you go.

And this kids is why you don't put 90% of your assets into a space Piñata.

^This^

I learned the hard way long ago.....i still have an exhumer stuck in providence. I was lucky and got all my stuff out of there just in time.....little ole mining ship wasnt so lucky.

Destiny always seems decades away, but suddenly it's not decades away; it's right now. But maybe destiny is always right now, right here, right this very instant, maybe.

I recently returned to eve as well, after a 2 year absence. Most of my stuff was still in staging stations in hi sec, but I had a good bit of crap in null when my old corp/alliance had sov in the area. Long story short, in my absence, I was kicked from the corp and the area was taken over by another alliance - leaving my stuff in hostile stations. I was sure it would be gone, but it wasn't. Joined the new corp for long enough to get my stuff out and was on my way.

But if it was at a random POS... yeah, you're ******... no lube.

When I see a ship floating next to a dead POS my heart aches for that ship. It's longing for companionship... Cry

I take on the hardship of shepherding these abandoned ships and adopting them, or I prefer the term asset reassignment.

Here is the documentation of a recent story of sadness and redemption:

Here you can see the poor Orca sitting... alone.. suffering: #1

I approach with caution as to not cause a defensive action: #2

At this point I have gained the ships trust: #3

Here I am, transporting the abandoned soul to a place where it can recover in peace: #4

And finally.. a new home Blink : #5

Why do I do it you ask? Well, because I care. Lol

Ha, the pictures actually make me feel like you care, thank god I don't own an Orca.... ;)

The corp is still in the sector, I've reached out. I'm not expecting anything, but I did see that clone and skill loss is gone. So, the fact that I have no access to a valid clone at the station, or med bay, may not be a huge issue.

That was my other concern.
