My alt runs a SNI for Level IV missions that's set up like this:

[Scorpion Navy Issue, L4 Mish]
Co-Processor II
Ballistic Control System II
Damage Control II
Ballistic Control System II
Ballistic Control System II

Heavy Tapered Capacitor Infusion I, Cap Booster 800x4
Experimental 100MN Afterburner I
Republic Fleet Target Painter
Pith B-Type Shield Boost Amplifier
Dread Guristas X-Large Shield Booster
Kinetic Deflection Field II
Kinetic Deflection Field II
Thermic Dissipation Field II

Cruise Missile Launcher II
Cruise Missile Launcher II
Cruise Missile Launcher II
Cruise Missile Launcher II
Cruise Missile Launcher II
Cruise Missile Launcher II
Drone Link Augmentor II

Large Warhead Calefaction Catalyst I
Large Warhead Rigor Catalyst I
Large Warhead Rigor Catalyst I

Hobgoblin II x5
Hammerhead II x5

Cap Booster 800 x16

Obviously, change hardeners as needed for the mission, and swap in Minmatar drones for Angel rats. I get plenty of damage application with this set-up.

For Caldari L4 mission runners, it mostly a simple trade-off between the SNI and CNR. The Scorp is tankier, while the Raven pumps out a little more deeps. That's really it. You'll be generally more efficient in the CNR, with the SNI being perhaps preferable for low SP players in some of the more harry L4's (Worlds Collide, comes to mind).

The instant difference is basically price. There's fully fitting SNI's on contracts in hi-sec for as low as ~60% the cost of a CNR. If L4's are simply the means to an end for you - i.e. make some ISK and move on to null - then grab the SNI and same yourself as much as 400M ISK.

op the raven navy is faster than a scorpion navy in my experience as it often needs one less salvo to kill rats.
But if u want to fly a sni i would fit it like

[Scorpion Navy Issue, mission]
Ballistic Control System II
Ballistic Control System II
Caldari Navy Ballistic Control System
Caldari Navy Ballistic Control System
Internal Force Field Array I

Large Micro Jump Drive
X-Large Shield Booster II
Adaptive Invulnerability Field II
Heavy Capacitor Booster II, Cap Booster 800
Phased Weapon Navigation Array Generation Extron
Phased Weapon Navigation Array Generation Extron
Phased Weapon Navigation Array Generation Extron
Phased Weapon Navigation Array Generation Extron

Cruise Missile Launcher II, Scourge Fury Cruise Missile
Cruise Missile Launcher II, Scourge Fury Cruise Missile
Cruise Missile Launcher II, Scourge Fury Cruise Missile
Cruise Missile Launcher II, Scourge Fury Cruise Missile
Cruise Missile Launcher II, Scourge Fury Cruise Missile
Cruise Missile Launcher II, Scourge Fury Cruise Missile
Small Tractor Beam I

Large Warhead Rigor Catalyst II
Large Warhead Rigor Catalyst II
Large Warhead Flare Catalyst II

where as the mjd mostly is used as a gtfo option

That's about 2 or 3 too many TPs.

tbh i know that too but dont know what else to fit in those mids as the tank is more than enough in my experience, also should say even my raven navy had 2 tp's and as a scorp doesnt have the application bonuse 3 tps should be in order still the last i dont know

Sebo's, Ab's, Shieldbooster amplifire, web to name a few

The Up in the SNI is it's surplus on CPU and Powergrid, because you only need to fit 6 launchers. which leaves room for a Drone damage mod in your last low slot for example, making it do more raw damage than the RNI.

The SNI is a more versatile ship than the RNI, cheaper and easer to fit, and a relative cheap option to do some lvl 5 missions

You do not want to take an SNI (or CNR, for that matter) into deep low-sec. Definitely not null. Unless its one of those out of the way systems that nobody frequents - think, dead end 0.1-0.4 systems where people go to rat or run sites - your shiny mission running BS is going to get blagged fast. Since most L5's are in low- or null-sec, you're going to want to try to avoid them like the plague. Besides, L5 rewards generally aren't worth the trouble.

If you insist on L5's and taking your 700M - 1B+ ISK BS into these systems, do your homework. Scout them and the gate(s) in/out. See when they are most active. Avoid systems that are near to any very active parts of null/sov, those will have lots of traffic and tend to be loaded with gate camps looking to pick off lone ships heading to or from their corp's holdings. Check kill stats as well. Do so for the system you want to putz around in and those around it. That's generally the best indication of how likely you are to actually get your BS to the mission site. Also of value is checking to see if one corp is responsible for a good number of the kills - that's going to be another excellent indicator of likelihood of survival. If a particular corp is "claiming" the area, you're going to be up the creek without a paddle.

Good luck.
