please first read my recruit add to know my position on the subject, how ever i must disagree transgendered (surgically altered) are still whatever sex they were prior to surgery. once the sex is determined, AFTER conception, males have an X and Y chromosome, females have 2 X's. all the surgery and hormones in the world will not change that. despite fully supporting and adults right to be or do what they choose,(please dont read to much into the word) the statement "trans women are women too" is simply not true!

I would say that you are confusing gender and sex. First, there's a non-trivial number of people who aren't XX or XY, but something else. There's also a non-trivial number of people who have two X chromosomes, but androgynous or "male" privates; and people with XY chromosomes who have androgynous or "female" privates. I'm avoiding using the correct, technical terms for fear of banning. Trans-women are women because gender is a far more important aspect to identity than genetics. In fact, if we didn't have genetic testing it's all we would have to go on. There have been a lot of people over the centuries labeled based on what midwife or doctor decided based on what their gut feeling was. A much better system is to recognize the gender binary for what it is, drop it, and let people declare their own gender. (Oh, and sexual orientation.)
