I would never ask something like this but I need a favor from you all. I am slated for a hospital visit with a young man that is lucky to be alive after being bitten by a large canebrake rattlesnake a month ago. I will be in my dress suit (Santa) reading him a book and delivering a special present. The problem is with the weather we have been having it has my sinuses and thus throat rebelling. I simply need an hour window between 5pm and 6pm EST today where I can speak clearly, read my book, and not cough or clear my throat too much. Whether you pray, believe in sending good energy, or simply think it is all useless I don't much care all I ask is that you do whatever you believe in to help make this one thing possible. Yes I am grasping for straws here but this is important to myself and everyone involved in making this visit possible.

Have you tried Vick's Vapor Rub? I had to do a best man speech at a friends wedding last year and I had a pretty hardcore sinus infection. It cleared it up for a couple hours. For the coughing try some throat spray, I doubt it would last an hour but it would help and maybe you could sneak some in here and there during the story. As for the good energy, I'll send a bunch your way, it's a good thing you're doing.

Sure thing and got beaten to the Vick Vapor Rub thing. I remember my gran using it extensively for relief, and when I feel like crap due to flu or any other respiratory illness I use it and even if I still feel bad somehow the mentholated feeling is invigorating.

Thank you guys. It went well then after the hospital visit I was back to sniffling and coughing occasionally and my wife started losing her voice. All is well though because what was important was that hospital visit. After I left it seems the young man took a big turn for the better and now while he is still in guarded condition they are looking at a timetable for him to come home.
