Game froze twice last night, music stuttered

Last night I had the game freeze up on my twice within an hour period. The screen would freeze and lock, and a stuttering sound could be heard. Like it was playing the same sounds over and over. It seemed like the game got "stuck."

I cleared the cache when I downloaded the update several days ago, but will it help to do it again? My hard drive and video card are new so I am pretty confident it is not a hardware issue.

Bumping to say this is happening and last night after I logged back into EVE after a hard reboot from EVE crashing all my overview settings had changed and the UI had changed as well. Any help would be appreciated. I am now afraid to boot the game for fear it will crash my computer.

Ever since Scylla, this happens to me if i leave Eve to idle...say 30 mins or so without doing anything.

Now I am test driving windows 10 as well, so it's something within the patch and win10 (been test driving it for 2 months now no issues until Scylla)

Bumping this since it seems very similar to the issue I've been having, as this is now requiring a hardboot of my system to fix.

check the load on your gpu, in fullscreen mode the game puts the gpu under 80-95% load for some people. Even in the character selection screen right after login. This makes the GPU run hot pretty quick. Switching the game to "windowed" or "fixed windowed" mode will fix this. Although its not a solution but a workaround till the issue gets fixed.
