I find having an armageddon in the pocket works better than the best bug spray.

that would be a fun fight,

My 700 dps(A bit low, but that's the trade off for reaching hard to probe status), sig/sensor <1.08 ship(most mission gank scan alts will give up and go after easier to scan targets)..... I have yet to have anyone warp in on my mission pocket(years)

just saying

overcome,adapt improvise

I have got 1 visit for like 5 years. Abandoned wrecks and scooped my MTU. Visitor warped out immediately.

No need to gimp your fit for such rare cases

Plus there's the amusing fact that MTUs themselves can be probed out...

Long time ninja here who just recently came back to New Eden.

I see the MTU as something the Dev's thought might revitalize the time-honored profession of PVE-hunting (as opposed to suicide-ganking their Tengus on the undock which is a rather different thing). It seems to have helped a bit, but ninja work pales to what it once was. I look around at the mission hubs (and at one point, me and my old corp pals in SN have worked 'em all) and it seems like very few mission boats are going down in flames except to what looks like war targets and the rare, but still occasional Bear Harvest.

Shooting the MTUs though is kind of LOLzy, which is what this sort of thing is all about anyway. Good to see that The Lords are trying to keep it going. Suddenly Ninjas and TEARS have just about gone the way of the Dodo it seems.

I think the larger problem is what Crimewatch has wrought. Having done away with Corp Aggro made all of high sec, and I do mean ALL but those of us who routinely fly around as suspects, much more risk-averse. I suspect this means High Sec is proportionally as crowded as ever, with almost no one really willing to become a Null Bear Slave, and the only real threat being my boys in Marmite (or similar). Sure CODE kills quite a few idiot miners, but mission bears and others appear to be quite snug and safe.

Don't try to fight him in your pve mission ship. If you try to fight him with no warp scram you will die or best case scenario he'll leave if he thinks he can't win. Let him blap it and carry on about your business.

Lack of a scram isn't really an issue to be honest. That just keeps your flipper from MWD'ing and/or warping away. If the reason you opened fire was to drive him off then you win if this happens. If you were wanting to destroy them then you want to employ modules such as energy neutralizers and stasis webs in addition to a warp disruptor. Neuts to shut down their fun toys, webs to slow em enough for your guns and drones to track properly, and the disruptor to make 20-24km your private killzone.

Come hell or high water, this sick world will know I was here.

I just keep a Mobile depot and a pvp fit in my cargo hold 2 large neuts, warp jammer, faction web, 4 neutron 2's and drones work great on pretty much any thing.....

It's a very common assumption that a player's corpmates would be able to assist them directly under this kind of circumstance. In fact people often thought the same thing under the previous aggression system.

If this is what people intuitively think would happen perhaps that's how the game should actually work.

This is bad logic here. There isn't anything that eludes to this being the result of agression. Ignorance of crime watch mechanics is not an excuse to stay dumb and scared. Limited engagement is exactly what it is... If you're even thinking of shooting at someone you should at least know a little about crime watch and how that involves your safety settings.
