Do you think CCP should remove killboards? Remove combat api!

I don't think killboards are the issue. The issue is that most of EvE doesn't really reward team play. It rewards big numbers => quantity over quality. Teamwork values quality....so if EvE attached more value to team work and less value to blobbing everything then those morons in fleets splitting their guns would quickly find themselves in highsec with no "friends". Removing killboards would not remove those morons from late-game content......they'd just spend less time in fleets and more time trying to get a big wallet number.

Considering that most if not in every fleet, people just try to horde as many kills as possible instead of actually do what the fc says and focus on targets called.

Well, there is one thing we can agree on.

People who need a command repeated ...
... certainly aren't very sharp listeners.

as a small gang FC I feel that the lines I quoted are way off. hence the "u fkin wot m8".

Hi there!

I'd like to introduce you to a little group called Rooks and Kings.

Enjoy,

EVE is becoming shallow and puerile; it will satisfy neither the veteran nor the "WoW" type crowd in the transition.

EVE does reward teamwork, but the problem is that it is easier for people to just bring more people. And since many people are slaves of their own killboard they do not take risks and always go with the safe n+1 solution. Which means that most pvpers never get so see a fight where their own choices and teamwork plays a major role.

While I personally think KBs do more harm than good to the game, there is some use to them.

It makes it easy to find the OCD anal retentive that cares more about kill efficiency than having fun and completely ruin his day.

ive seen KB kill corps, i personally hate the things.

you will always get the try hards that always must be top of the KB

and these same people are always the people making noise about moving here or there, join this alliance or that alliance for more kills etc and ripping corps apart.

It's funny how it changed from "serious business lol" to "don't touch mah killboard!" years later, cultural victories left and right.

I don't care either way although from a personal pov I'd like them gone although not for reasons most would think.

Your reason is obvious.

You don't want to reroll an alt every time you awox.

Without the killboard, there would be no free info of your past machinations for your new intended targets.

Killboards are great because they breed the sort of idiotic mentality which leads to people doing stupid things like fitting civilian guns on logistics cruisers and having their logi pilots split their attention between repping friendlies and whoring on killmails.
