Test Server Feedback

When will the next mirrior? I just bought a toon and would like to test stuff with him.

a lot of people are waiting for the mirror =/ spent a lot of money transferring characters around and on plex as well. they should at least give us a time frame or update accounts on request. i don't wanna buy anything more myself until then.

I dont fully understand why you have to pretend its not a problem when it is to a alot of us. we put in alot of money transferring characters and plex. to be told theres no plans on a mirror and thats the only way.. they could easily take requests for account updates instead of the mass mirror.

is that why test server is public for how many years ? then encourage people to come ? You know how many people help for free as well that would do it for no cost at all.. just because you do not have any problems and already have everything you need doesn't make it just fine and dandy. since you dont work at ccp either. its meaningless until we have talk to devs.

others will be fine with it for whatever reason except when it happens to them and others will be upset after spending time and money. they dont wanna tell us anything either because people abused it before. isn't that all just great.

The Devs have talked to us time and time again, and from a database standpoint ONE DOES NOT SIMPLY COPY AN ENTIRE DATABASE, TOSS IT ON ANOTHER SERVER AND EXPECT IT TO WORK.

The entire tranquility database is full of information that needs to be sanitized such as Pos's and objects in space.
The copying of a run-time database of Tranquility's size is no easy feat for any infrastructure as the amount of data had put beyond heavy loads on CCP's network as stated before by CCP Habakuk & Possibly CCP Goliath.

You know nothing about the basics of how such a system operates. A mirror is the rough equivalent of telling someone to build you two homes instead of one using the same resources and very little extra money.

I like mirrors, Mirrors refresh a lot of reset Masstest SP across my toons, Just because I don't have problems doesn't mean I don't want a mirror.

I really hate to say this but you have been nothing but self-entitled to a service you did not pay for. Like I said just because your money eventually makes it to helping pay for the Singularity Server does not mean you are entitled to any part of it.

ACCESS TO SINGULARITY/DUALITY/CHAOS HAS AND WILL ALWAYS BE A PRIVILEGE.
I ENCOURAGE you to check YOUR PRIVILEGE.

Devs will request a mirror when one is needed, not when a single player creates multiple false use cases for one.
Devs have always provided prudent feedback when asked about a mirror, You should try hitting up one of the QA members on Twitter they always seem happy to reply IF they have information to provide.
The current new /copyskills and automated account status updating (paid subscription) made the need for mirrors less necessary to allow a good number of players to participate.

By all means if you have an opinion on this express it, but do not say things like "many of us, players, or we".

You seem to be speaking alone in the regard and there is no valid reason to support mirroring for character transfers as external purchases aren't even necessary to facilitate it. Play games - > Earn ISK - > Buy Plex - > Plex into Redeem system - > Sell Character. At no point does a buyer need to purchase any PLEX from CCP to transfer a character to themselves.

You've got to understand we aren't trying to hate or belittle you, but the reasons you have provided are nil compared to the scale of what you are asking for. What you want is akin to nuking a city because a resident killed your pet rat.

The whole many years thing is also BS too, if you are truly interested in only testing, you'll make a character, attend a masstest or two, apply SP and apply it as necessary in order to help out.

The one who doesn't understand anything is you. You are not entitled access to Singularity at all, CCP don't have to do anything special, hell they can close down the server if they felt it wasn't required anymore and that's it.
You do not pay for access, therefore you do not have the right to demand a mirror because you wanna try your new PVP alt out and not actually help test anything at all.

You pay to have access to TQ, not SISI.

SISI is something additional/optional, that didn't even exist back when i played.

Not only that, doing a mirror of TQ is actually a LOT of work and is ONLY done when it's absolutely necessary.

Lastly, SISI is there for testing new modules/ships, changes and what ever the dev's want to test (also great to find bugs), not for your personal pleasure.
