Nothing stops a conversation like an irrelevant traceroute.

The right to free speech doesn't automatically carry with it the right to be taken seriously.

This goes with your wit like wine with a good meal.

CCP - Building ant hills and magnifying glasses for fat kids

Not even once

EVE is becoming shallow and puerile; it will satisfy neither the veteran nor the "WoW" type crowd in the transition.

Getting "socket closed" several days per day for weeks now. Sometimes drop 2-3 accounts, sometimes all ( I usually have10 accounts online ). After getting disconnected, I usually I cannot access eveonline.com right away and the launcher goes offline, I have to restart it. Any other web sites are working just fine, teamspeak working as well during disconnects.

It's annoying as hell.

My wit balances on your head like a mattress balances on a bottle of wine.

It's not CCP's servers or connections. The problems have got to be with the connections of the 28,000 other people that experience the same issues. Jeeze... get better at connecting to eve.

Flew logi yesterday in an amusing fight where my overview and broadcasts worked fine, but my grid never loaded at all. Could not see a single ship in space with me.

The fight hilariously proved that Eve would work fine without any graphics, as we managed to win without losing a single ship.

grid was loaded but rendering perhaps?

This started happening to me yesterday. Launcher cannot connect, www.eveonline.com is down, but everything else on the internet seems to work just fine.

Is there anything players can do on our end to help CCP with determining the cause?

I've just checked over my mail this morning, spoken with a few people who're in the office over easter break, and it doesn't seem like there's any problems on our end.

I'll point out this thread to our operations guys, but everything looks green on our end. Those who're having issues may want to check with their Service Providers to make sure that there's no outages or issues in their areas. TQ appears to be running okay.

There may be nothing wrong at your end, but....
Many times eve goes out, nothing else I'm doing on the internet goes out, and there is nothing wrong on your end. It is, in fact, an issue with the connection. But for some reason that issue only effects eve. Its like you guys have made eve a delicate glass flower that shatters with the slightest touch of any issue.
Perhaps some effort into making eve more robust is in order. Other MMOs do it, so it must be possible.

If there is nothing wrong on their end, there is nothing wrong on their end. You can't go about telling CCP to go fix the **** happening in Switzerland or Austria or wherever the problem actually is.

I'm not asking them to fix it. I'm asking them to make eve work despite those problems, just like other MMOs do.

Dude...People lose connection in the last weeks all over the world, been talking to many. Romania, Croatia, Canada, you name it. All our ISP's suddenly have problems but CCP servers ? Seems unlikely.

I'm getting "socket closed" before jumping range nerf. Some say CCP is monitoring you for illegal activities but cmon, I get this crap for a long time already, can't be that.
