Hi all,

EVE Market Companion provides you with a constantly-updating feed of trade recommendations which means you can focus on 0.01-ing and making more profits rather than looking at price histories and graphs.

In-Game Channel: EVE Market Companion Public

All four major hubs are supported (Jita, Dodixie, Rens, Amarr), and various data about each recommendation can also be seen such as average daily volume and the prices used to make the recommendation.

There's now also a 3-day trial of premium for every new client which means you can log on, try out some recommendations, see whether you make a profit, and decide whether to subscribe as a result.

Obligatory disclaimer: any investment has a risk and the recommendations cannot see into the future.

Feel free to send any ideas or bug reports my way in-game (no CSPA charge), or in this thread.

I've just almost entirely revamped the recommendation engine in the interest of generating better recommendations. I'm continually updating the engine to try and get improved results and margins for customers.

I'm also going to be bringing Hek online as a supported trade hub in the next couple days.

EDIT: the newly-generated recommendations will take a couple hours (after the time of this post) to filter through to the free tier. The 3-day trial is an option for seeing the new recommendations sooner.

Wow is the only thing that i can say about this tool.

I have had a small test of this and i like the way it works.

Couple of things though:

1) When you click on an item can this also be opened up on the market as well? This would make things quicker for me and i am sure others.

2) I noticed on the how does this work section you mention that you can adjust the values of the data. I don't see this feature but is it because i am on the 3 day trial?

My corp is has three traders one in Amarr Diodixe and Jita, is there a possibility of a getting access at a corp level instead of purchasing a license for all three?

As it stands this is a really ideal site and I am happy with the cost, those suggestions though would help out if your trading alot of stuff.

Is it normal that when I click register it pops Eve Online account login page open? So in other words is this safe?

Thanks all for the feedback. Always happy to handle questions and ideas over evemails as well and I'm constantly trying to improve things. Feedback is crucial and very appreciated in this neverending improvement process.

Can you please clarify the sentence(s) which you're talking about? This might be referring to using the skill level setting in the 'manage account' section.

Answer 1 - if these traders are your own alts Smile

Hm, do these traders have different trading skills? If not, you should be able to open multiple browser tabs and manually choose a feed in each (the preferred hub only applies when first loading the page - if this isn't working for you, that's a bug).

Answer 2 - if these traders are other people

That's a really interesting idea and I'll add it my tracker as a feature request. I'll need to have a think about how the mechanics of this might work.

Yeah, this is integrated with EVE SSO (devblog: http://community.eveonline.com/news/dev-blogs/eve-online-sso-and-what-you-need-to-know/).

What this means for you is:

  • I don't need to ask for an API key to access your public information (in this case, character ID to uniquely identify your personal settings and show your avatar)
  • You don't need to keep track of yet another password
  • You can verify that everything is kosher by making sure that the EVE login page is coming from SSL-secured login.eveonline.com.

I just re-read the passage and turns out i misread it! Would be great functionality to have the ingame browser open the item in the market viewer.

FYI, this is now done - when using the IGB, you'll now see an IGB link that opens up the item's market details.

I've used this exclusively to decide on my trades as a little test. In the two months I've been subscribed, I've earned between 8% and 9% on my test capital of 5B.

I can't recommend this enough. The price is well worth the access to recommendations even for my casual use.
