(Short Version - What does the 3 Month EVE Online Starter Deal give you.

- Do i Get Modules and Skills for all the ships.
- Do i get a Prototype Cerebral Accelerator from the Exploration Pack like i would if i got it from Amazon.)

- The Rest of this post does not need to be read, i just need that question answered :) -



Hey again everyone :).

Got a few questions before i start my main account on the 7th.

I Want to buy a Bundle/Starter pack thingy so i can get some ships and other helpful things but i'm not sure which to get.

I Was going to buy the Premium Edition from Amazon which was 40Pounds but now i just don't see the point of half of the things i would get.

- As much as i like clothing and skins on my ships its all pretty useless.
- The Ships are all cheap and easy to get in game including the Mining ship.
- All the Skills and Modules will be the cheapest you can buy i'm guessing.

Now i'm not saying i will not buy this because it has things i would really like

I.E:
- Prototype Cerebral Accelerator (skill booster) (Very Important)
- A Mobile Depot personal deployable
- Blueprints to build the Venture and the deadly Corax destroyer (Not that important but would be nice)
- Blueprints to manufacture additional skirmish frigates
- Giant Secure Container for storage in space
- Ship and weaponry blueprints (If anyone knows what Blue Prints exactly that would be great)
- 1 PLEX (Very important)

Problem is as i have said is for 40 pound there is very little i will act use and i would like to start an Alt at some point for making money while my main PVP's so spending 40pound on worthless crap isnt very smart when i could buy this...

On the Main EVE Online Website Under Buy EVE Online there is a deal that has caught my eye but it has very little information on what you act get.

I Hope someone on here has brought this Deal and can tell me what you get exactly.

The thing i want to know the most is all those frigates you get are also part of a deal on Amazon so i would like to know if this is the same pack.

On the Amazon 1 you get.

Now if the 3month Deal does include the Prototype Cerebral Accelerator then i will buy that... Infact i will probz buy 2 of them because i want an alt to do nothing but make money so my main can PvP.

(I Will also be buying 3 PLEX if i get the 3 month deal... I Want quick money lol)

On topic, the prototype accelerator is desirable, everything else listed is not.

To echo Loyd, from a usability standpoint the only thing worth it is the learning enhancer. Which may or may not matter soon because attributes and implants might be re-done soon (maybe).

You get exactly what's listed. Nothing in EVE is unique, and the vast majority of things can be bought on the market.

- Venture mining frigate is a common frigate; you actually get a free one from doing the career agent missions.
- Exploration frigates are common; I'm guessing you get the 4 T1 racial ones: Magnate, Imicus, etc. Again, cheap ships.
- Cybernetic arm is exactly the right arm cybernetic implant, can be sold on the market probably
- Sansha attire is the jacket only.

- Quafe frigate skin - you get a blueprint that uses up a Tristan frigate and gives you a painted Quafe Tristan in 10 seconds. Currently worth about 70 million ISK, and going down because everyone at the fanfest got one for free, and the 3 month deal has been available since the fanfest.

In addition, be careful with the Genolution boosters; there is more than one, and I think with the same name, or extremely similar. You can ONLY use it when you've created your character, and it stops working after 7 days, 14 days, or whatever it's designed for. You can also see them on the market.

I don't know what the Amazon deal offers, but 24 basic skills isn't that much, a combat pilot will typically have 160+ within a couple months, and it's the higher end ones that are expensive. The PLEX is 800 mil, and the Genolutions may be 300 mil - 600 mil ISK, and the Quafe skins, well currently the cruiser is at 160 mil and the battleship is at 900 mil, going down fast.

Ultimately, the stuff you get is fluff. You should judge each deal based on how much money you're saving on the subscription costs. The savings are pretty good, more than I've seen recently. Normal price is $130 for 12 months, for example, and that offer is discounting it to $100, so that's a pretty hefty discount. It's still a whole bunch of money at once, and you won't get a refund if you suddenly don't like the game or don't like what CCP is changing IN the game.

IMO the changes are pretty good, though.

No, it looks like the Genolution is in the Amazon offer only, and the Fanfest 2015 offers include the ship pack but NOT the Genolution. You get exactly what's listed; if it doesn't say "Genolution" in the list you don't get it.

EDIT: Prototype Cerebral Accelerator: +9 to all attributes (they're 20 when you start, 23 if you add some implants, 25+ if you remap) for 14 days, available for 475 million ISK in the contracts system. So about 40% boost in training speed for 2 weeks, if you use it as soon as you create the character.

EDIT2: The Fanfest2015 deal on the CCP site is for creating new accounts only. You won't be able to apply it to existing characters. Not sure about Amazon, but "starter" promotions usually imply that you have to start a new account.

Regarding some of the 'fluff' items depending on your preference they can either be kept for your own use or sometimes sold for 'a lot' of ISK in terms of new pilot income. Some of the current and previous 'fluff' items are not readily available on the market and sold for quite a bit of ISK such as the pirate rookie ships etc.

The last time I opened a standard account with CCP/EVE Online via account management I think they just gave me the ORE mining frigate and the male & female ORE jackets. The ORE jackets are not, and may never be, openly available on the NES store and still both sell for over 200 million ISK each which is not to be laughed at by a new player. We bought them to wear though.

I have a feeling the black female & male jackets you mentioned on the most expensive deal are not available on the NES store so would also sell for a good price. But the price for that deal isn't cheap so I wouldn't bother with that one personally. So I would suggest you look into opening a basic account and see if you can still get the ORE jackets.
