FPS spiking when firing weapons

Hey guys, this is my first usage of the forums and I'm asking for any possible help anyone can offer. I submitted a ticket a few days ago about this but I haven't gotten an answer, as I speak I am reinstalling my game having wiped every trace of it from my system hoping it'll fix my issue, which is this:

Since the most recent update, firing any sort of weapon will FPS spike my game down to 20-30 FPS from its smooth, constant 60. When it does this, my game freezes for a second while it corrects itself, imagine that on a full rack of 7 turrets not setup for group fire, freeze freeze freeze freeze, then back to stable 60 FPS when my guns stop firing. Its making the game unplayble which is highly HIGHLY disappointing since I've spent almost 2 years within this community.

I have tried clearing my cache, setting everything to low for memory/performance etc, running windowed, fullscreen, fixed window, turning every single graphical setting off etc to no avail. My GPU drivers are up to date and the problem occurred soon after the patch, only took notice when I was running an incursion, noticing my game constantly lagging during gun cycles. Cycling on other modules do not effect my game in this way.

Has anyone, had any past experience, knowledge or a fix for my problem? Thank you.

I have been experiencing this as well in the past couple days. It seems to be only happening in the incursion systems as my nullsec alt has no problems when shooting weapons.

I've been having this problem also since Scylla patch. In my case it seems to be the ammo count calculations that's the cause. Every time I fire a weapon, or when a weapon finishes the reloading process, it drops FPS for about 2-3 seconds, and stutters really, really badly.

Extremely annoying to say the least.

No joy with the following:

Adjusting ingame graphics settings.

Switching DX9/DX11.

Windows Aero on/off.

Also, I noticed it affected my Rapid Light Missile Launchers but not my regular Light Missile Launchers?

Nvidia GTX980, latest WHQL driver (347.88).

Problem appears to be mostly random. When I logged in today the issue was completely gone: Same system, ship, fit, ammo, RL computer, etc.

Jumped to the next system over and dropped frames on weapon cycles/reloading was back. Although it wasn't anywhere near as bad as previously.

Jumped back to first system and problem was nearly imperceptible when weapon cycling; but much, much worse when reloading.

That it can vary by a huge amount, in a matter of five minutes, going from System X to Y to X again is alarming.

same here, playing this game from the map is becoming more appealing
