To complement these changes regarding Deep Space Transports and other Fleet Hangar using ships, it would be also very useful to be able to scoop structures into fleet hangars, either primarily over default cargo space, by a new choice menu into which cargo to scoop objects (rather not this option) or by automatically scooping into the Fleet Hangar once the main cargo bay is full.

Deploying a Starbase or thelike would be easier via being able to deploy via Fleet Hangars, but disassembly of structures (especially POSes) would remain a pain if you don't add this complementary change.

The irony.

Seriously though, each of these element is so badly needed, and so important to the health of groups looking to take sov without having the backbone to bridge freighters everywhere.

Given that they announced these changes at Fanfest, I find the April Fools capacity for this change to be pretty darn low.

Also all these changes are now on Sisi.

It's a long shot prank of course. The setup at fanfest and on Sisi to make it more believable.

Any reason for this specifically? Seems out of sorts with the rest of the design.

Will there be a 'Scoop to Fleet Hangar' option too? Useful for those oh **** I shouldn't have pressed that moments...

Good call. We haven't implemented that yet, but I'll chat with the team after Easter vacation and we'll see if that's something that can be done reasonably.

Please do this for all structures/starbase items. Annoying to no end to not be able to scope and unanchored array into a fleet hanger (i.e. DST). My own fault for always forgetting, but its annoying to go assemble and fit an Iteron 5 to pick up an array because I couldn't scoop to the DST.

Change won't happen until April, and since there will still be remaining stocks and NOC sell orders before this hits it won't be entirely necessary to release early.

This IS April, and they said they would give us plenty of time to test out production, etc., before release. Granted, I was referring to the Test Server, but still.

It's generally a good thing when you make NPC items into player manufactured items.

However, there are some problems with this change and how it fits in with your stated overall vision for the Sov game after the June patch.

First, the cost of the BPOs:
http://i.imgur.com/ppIuZTG.png

This is fairly high for small groups. It's fairly high even for some existing sov holding alliances like mine.

Normally, you could just buy researched BPCs, except of course, there aren't any available yet. And looking at the small number of BPOs being bought so far, it doesn't look like there will be enough BPCs to meet demand should everything go **** up after June 2nd. By giving us only a month of lead time, the market won't be stabilized to meet the initial demand, especially since the buy-in cost is so high.

Then there is the cost of the upgrades themselves. You made it much easier for ihubs to get blown up, but you didn't really lower the cost of replacing them enough to compensate for that.

This seems out of balance with the stated goal of letting the little guy (who is least likely to be able to defend their sand castle), build up a presence in nullsec. Given that even a fully upgraded Pirate Detection Array 5 system with Military Index 5 can only support a handful of simultaneous ratters, that means putting even more at risk by having multiple systems.

Systems that a handful of people can't protect.

And that's not even getting into the cost of the relic/hacking and plexing arrays.

With the changes focusing more on small groups of players going out and claiming space; would you consider corporations launching TCU's etc?

We are also making all of the IHub upgrades manufacturable using PI materials. Blueprints will be sold by the Empire Navy corporations, and the material requirements consist of Tier 4 PI Commodities and Capital Construction Parts.

The planned material requirements can be found in this image.

These changes are available for testing on SISI right now, and we look forward to hearing what you think!

As much as I love the lower volume, my favorite part of this is that they are manufacturable. This is an all-around fabulous change.

I know we all ***** and moan about some of the proposed changes a fair bit, so it is only fair when we let you know we approve as well. Very well done on this one, CCP.

CCP should add more NPC 0.0 space to open it up and liven things up: the Stepping Stones project.
