Player Features and Ideas Discussion

Hey everyone. As mentioned in our Sov presentation at Fanfest, we're making a couple of significant changes to Nullsec in our April release, before the big revamp scheduled for June.
One area being changed is the Infrastructure Hubs and their Upgrades. We are going to be reducing the volume of Infrastructure Hubs and Infrastructure Upgrades so that they can be deployed more easily, and we will also be making all of the Infrastructure Upgrades manufacturable by players instead of selling them directly from NPCs.

These changes are actually available for testing on SISI right now, and we wanted to put this thread together to collect feedback on the changes.

The volumes of IHubs and Upgrades will be reduced to:

• Infrastructure Hubs: 60,000 m3
• Military/Industrial upgrades: From 5,000 m3 to 60,000 m3 (depending on the level)
• Strategic Upgrades: 200,000 m3

This will allow IHubs and Military/Industrial upgrades to all be deployed by a wider variety of ships, including Deep Space Transports. Strategic Upgrades will still require at least a jump freighter or freighter.

To go along with these changes, we have enabled the deploying of all structures (including Starbase Control Towers) from fleet hangars, so that ships like Orcas and Deep Space Transports will have more structure deployment options.

We are also making all of the IHub upgrades manufacturable using PI materials. Blueprints will be sold by the Empire Navy corporations, and the material requirements consist of Tier 4 PI Commodities and Capital Construction Parts.

Good call. We haven't implemented that yet, but I'll chat with the team after Easter vacation and we'll see if that's something that can be done reasonably.

Given that they announced these changes at Fanfest, I find the April Fools capacity for this change to be pretty darn low.

Can we go away from BPO?
Lets have 5 run BPC from LP store that mostly require ISK.

This way we could have additional isk sink and small boost to LP stores.

A change for the best.

Not needing a freighter (in NULLSEC) to secure a system is a massive help to small groups.
