Missiles are awesome if you have faction web and links

The Worm and Gila are both amazing ships or PvP (if you can afford to lose them), but they are primarily drone boats and the missiles are just a little extra DPS.

I've just rotated back to New Eden, but I see nothing much that would keep one from starting ones missile Pew Pew with the Mighty Kiting Condor of Doom (a fine reason to train T2 light missiles). It's probably no longer the case, but there was a time when that cheap little boat was better than most all of the interceptors flying around. It's a cheap-as-chips little frig and fun to fly.

Faud wins this thread though, missiles are pretty darned good at everything really.

Rapid light and rapid heavy missile launchers are the **** for rapidly murdering frigates and cruisers respectively. Torpedoes and heavy assault missiles are also cool.

The flight time of missiles is touted as a problem for them. It really isn't. In fleet flights, primary one target, fire, cycle to next target. Solo PvP, the benefits of missiles outweigh the flight time. In fact, if you lock and fire first, then you're simply keeping pace with the turrets of someone else. Flight time should be regarded as a non-issue. All the problems it has also exist for turrets, but from a front loaded perspective.

Say you had someone pinned with turrets, your scram breaks and they start to warp. You fire and get them. With missiles, they could warp off, but then with missiles, there's no cap use, so perhaps your scram doesn't break.

Different weapon systems are just different.

Don't kid yourselves. Even the dirtiest pirates from the birth of EVE have been carebears. They use alts to bring them goods at cheap prices and safely, rather than live with consequences of their in game actions on their main, from concord to prices

I miss brawlers.. just saying.

Missiles are amazing, yes. RLML Caracal / Talwar very popular blob fleet ships. Cruises are OK. Combine with Drone spec ship and it's just nutty solo pvp. Loads are kiting with some forms of missile and enjoying the kills. The fights don't always feel as rewarding though, just my opinion.

Missile boats can brawl. Rocket or HAM.

My Typhoon fleet issue agrees that missile ships can in fact brawl.

1600 DPS trashcan of doom for the win.
