Are Drifters Ment to attack passive targets ? I landed on grid I was just observing them then without warning they poped my shuttle l did not lock them open fire or bump them and I was killed I lost some Blueprints I was moving. From what I understand they should not have attacked me if so I would like a refund of the blueprints I lost and the kill mail to be removed

Don't get too close to their hole and you won't be attacked.

(That advice works in RL too, BTW)

Just be glad you were only in a shuttle, don't go sightseeing with cargo.

Yeah had the same thing last night. just went to look at these new sites for the first time. in a shuttle with two other mates. only one ship made it out. haha!!

"Lets go sightseeing in hostile environments in unarmed defenseless shuttles stuffed with blueprints!" said no informed person ever.

Plenty of warning out there about this happening, several threads about it, thought there was a scope video or something too.. so after all that, why you decided to stop and look while packed with loot.. I guess we will never know.

..oh.. and good luck with the refund. Im sure the GMs will give you your stuff back.. as soon as they can catch their breath from laughing...

Since the cessation of their usefulness is imminent, may I appropriate your belongings?

When you're snooping around hostile NPCs in a shuttle, you should always bring PLEX - not BPCs. Drifters won't attack if you have PLEX in your cargo.

It is known.

So I went to zkill to see if I could find the OP on the Drifters killboard...

.....and holy hell, someone lost a 2 billion isk Machariel and a 620 million isk pod to Drifters about 2 hours ago. HA!

Ok, so, if you get too close to the structure or wormhole (within 10km) both Circadian Seekers and Drifters will warp to you and attack.

From most other people's experiences, Drifters won't attack passive targets.

HOWEVER, since I do alot of Drifter-killing, Drifters will actually aggro me if I stay on grid for more than 60 seconds.
This may have been what has happened to you.

Been seeing in a lot of places that Seekers and Drifters aren't on passive mode anymore with the release of Scylla. They attack on site now.

I haven't confirmed that myself yet.
