This is normal. I get this evertytime I log on. Thought this was normal now with the new system. really starting to annoy actually.

I end up walking off to do something and forgetting about EVE, them remebering I was trying to login and realise it's too late to login. If that continues much longer, I might as well cancel lol.

I rely don't give a crap about Latest News Dev Blog and all the other juink on there...its a launcher ffs make sure it does its job ! I f you only use the bin exe file ..then you dont have access to all the features in game like aurum shop etc

The launcher is definitely horked.

Tried several times, and either launcher wouldn't load the login screen, or the login button wouldn't work when you clicked it (as in you click it and nothing happens - no error, no nothing). It acted like it was a button with no code behind it.

Bypassing the laucnher and using the bin file directly did get me into the game, but it took far longer than normal to go from log in to character selection and from character selection to in game.

Eve is like an addiction; you can't quit it until it quits you. Also, iderno

This whole problem started with download on demand ....Eve was fine now everything is black.... like there are textures missing and the frustration of resource loading...If this is the future of Eve ..it looks pretty black .

what's so great about download on demand anyways? What was wrong previosuly?

I used the repair tool without the launcher, patched no problem and I am in without using the launcher to run the game.

CCP - Building ant hills and magnifying glasses for fat kids

Not even once

EVE is becoming shallow and puerile; it will satisfy neither the veteran nor the "WoW" type crowd in the transition.

Ccp showed some stats that some noobs create trial accounts then never finish the download and never log it and just quit. They said this is so noobs can enter and play faster the first time.

So basically about retention saving the noobs and dollar sines

P-sure it was in the comments of the download on demand devblog but they said a few times it was immplemented to get first time players into the game faster. Cuz if you cant wait to dl the game p-sure they gonna wait months to train skills right? Lol

ok so I ran the rescache now its telling me that 55242 files are missing ..but last night my eve was working fine. Im going to log this ...ticket . If i dont get help in the next 24 hours Im pulling the plug on all my acounts.

What these guys dont get is that not everyone has a highway internet ...im from Africa ffsake ! So dont tell me I must reinstall the whole damn client ...it will take me days !

You know what these Vikings can go and fuk themselfes !

yup....

Just use the .exe

CCP either fix your launcher or get rid of it and return to the time before you had 1. its a launcher and CCP are a decent sized company. Surely you can keep on top of the thing that lets your player play the game?

EDIT: Also as far as i know CCP has had ZERO communication with the players to even say they know there is an issue.

Same here... i either get no login box, or if i get it.. hitting the "login" button does nothing.

For some reason it became impossible to use the launcher for me.
