I am looking for a battle simulator

EBE HQ's damage analysis doesn't help all that much. I am looking for a simulator that will show stats such as how long it takes one of the ships to destroy the other, the time it takes, etc. Just a REAL battle simulator. I googled around and for some reason macro mining tools can be found when you google "eve online ship simulator"...... Also found crap that wasn't real, some stupid pod thing. Would someone mind helping me find a simulator? Doesn't need to be graphic, just needs to show me some of those important details I need.

AFAIK there isn't such a thing. However, EFT has the ability to simulate damage amounts at specific ranges. It also has the ability to demonstrate specific effective hitpoints for specific resistant types and configurations.

Sisi can allow you to test but you'll be pouring over logs and your experiments will have to be control to glean meaningful data.

Goog luck.

If i recall there was a problem which you could fit ships using your API to see its effectiveness. I cannot remember its name but if you used the statistics from that and some basic math you would definitely be able to gauge the destructive power of your ships against others.

EDIT: does anyone know how to delete your posts? this one is obselete.

@ Nyx -- edit it and say something more relevant.

(You're thinking of EFT).

Not gonna happen. How long a ship stands vs. another depends on how each pilot uses his tank, which is hard to simulate. Without that factor, all that can be accounted for is DPS vs EHP, which can be done via EFT.

Lulz, that pod dropped 'Goonswarm repelant', obviusly a new module CCP are releasing to fit to ice mining barges Lol

@ Thread - The complexeties of such a program would be phenominal, speed, distance, what happens when two ships attempt to orbit each other at diffrent optimal ranges, cap monitoring, how speed and sig effect missile blasts, turret movent , lateral velocity. The list goes on. Then should you achieved all this all you have really done is to create a 1v1 pvp simultor to really create a battle sim it would need to support fleet sims and track all these things for each object involved. Plus as the poster above mentions you would also have to create a 'AI' to fly these ships for you, not as easy as it sounds.

Better idea would be buy a few cheap destroyers of each racial type, take them out with a few mates and try and blow the living daylights out of each other and see how the stats compare to an ingame situation, albeit a rather artificial one.

Excuse my ignorance(im new here) but doesn't damage depend on a lot of "in the moment" factors, such as the modules each ship is fitted with, their skills, the way they move in relation wih each other and many more things? I mean you can calculate static damage all day but it wont tell you anything about how a real fights going to go.

Yes, which is likely the reason no one has bothered making a battle simulator.. Too many variables that would make it far too hard to be accurate.
