why all the hate?

So Eve must be the very workings of Satan because it seems to just brew hatred, everywhere you look its just hate. Low seccers hate high seccers, pvpers hate miners. Really, what's the deal? Especially that guy that tried to do a psycho analysis on "the high seccer" like what's up with him? Oh somebody enjoys different things than me!? There must be something severely wrong with them!! Like really? I bet he ***** himself when he finds out someone has different musical taste than he does.

And then all the hate for like every other mmo out there. Gamers hating on gamers for playing a different game than the game that they play. That's about as sad as it gets right there. What's the reason for the attitude that most of the community seems to have?

You see what I mean? Its like... like the hate clouds the air around us. Constantly there, always lingering. I can feel it everytime I enter these forums. Its like you can do nothing but hate while you're here.

It is not hate as much as it is fear - fear for what will happen with EVE if CCP listen too much to all the carebear whine about suicide ganking and non-consensual PvP.

Fear that they'd have to pvp against actual pvpers? Couldn't they just suck it up and grow moar skills so they could actually compete with someone not decked out in mining modules? I mean that's just what id do, not tying to force my opinion on anyone you know? But when I think of pvp I think of two players.. actually vsing.. but I guess I understand. I mean the risk of those tech 2 mining modules, now that's a rush! Don't wanna go up against one of those anytime soon

There are plenty of games out there for 1vs1 consensual combat. EVE is not like that, nor should it be, and the fact it isn't is why so many are passionate about EVE and stays with the game year after year. Why do YOU want to away what makes EVE unique?

Now you see your essential problem here is what we do here is recreate war.

War isn't and never has been a pleasent thing, it tends to warp and corrupt mens minds. A certain lack of sensetivity, a sick sense of humour all symptoms of the problem clear for all to see.

This desensitisation to the basic human instinct known as empathy combined with prolonged states of high tension activity, often seem to find release in an overally aggresive attitude and sense of superioirty.

These things seem also seem to display themselves more once the source of the tension has been removed (ie. when you've logged out and are chatting on the forums for a while).

My advice is learn to deal without or get out now, it'll save you a lot of heartache in the long run.

Some phrases may sound harsh since you can’t read expressions and body language online can you. Other than that, opinions are just opinions no matter how entitled the writer seems to be and you're a terrible poster.
