Posting this here as well as the issues section of the forum:

Maybe I am the only one having this issue but if I open the map (it does not matter if I am in space or a station) my PC will start to lock up. The map opens with the stars and the 'you are here pointer' but after this my PC will lock up for about 20-30 seconds every 3-4 seconds (it will continue in this cycle locking/unfreezing making the map unusable). I can tell the PC/Eve has locked up as the cursor in the search field on the map control will stop flashing and I am unable to always move my mouse pointer. If during the few seconds that the PC is not locked up I manage to alt tab out the game the PC itself is fine and does not lock up while Eve is minimised ,it is only when I have Eve maximised and I am looking at the star Map that it locks.

I hope that this is added to the list of things to look into and fix as it is really annoying not being able to use the starmap it makes a good part of the game and a usefull part at that unusable and pointless for myself at least.

‘No, this isn't it at all. Make it more... psssshhhh’.

o/

patch update don't seem to be taking to my PC (windows Vista)

For the last several patches, client does not recognize that I have downloaded and applied client 'fixes'.

To that end, cargo window still popping open when entering system.

Also, in the event that my PC is just stright stupid, and the patches have indeed been applied, would be nice to see the "check this box if you dont want to see this window again" for patch updates.

Any help on this front is appreciated

Im just gonna put the tip in, just for a moment, just to see how it feels....

ISSUES SINCE INCARNA 1.1 - Patch 3 (Part 1 of 2):

- EVEGATE FORUM IS SAYING POSTS ARE EXCEEDING LENGTH, WHEN REMAINING CHARACTERS ARE FAR WITHIN BOUNDARIES: Therefore I'm separating this into 2 parts... again... [sigh]

- HIGHER GRAPHIC CARD TEMPS: After this #3 Patch, the average temp in CQ (lowest graphic settings in game) results an average of: 68-79 Celcius degrees within 2 minutes of playing Eve (just one client)... in air-conditioning. Yes computer and card fans are very clean and adequate airflow (with A/C).

- LONGER GAME LOAD TIME REMAINS: Still takes LONGER (timed at maximum 2 minutes) to fully load into the station now (upon logging in). Which also leads to.....

- HIGHER GPU AND CPU LOAD: 80-99% GPU (and CPU, verified using 3 different process monitors, all pointing to both Intel P4 chips being used by EVE's game process itself: "ExeFile.Exe"). Mainly the 90%+ occurs in CQ, especially when docking (every time) and remains until the CQ fully resolves. Oddly, now this applies to what used to be simple graphic things, like undocking and see the station and all surrounding objects... slowly.... one by one... load into view. On occasion, Virtual Memory will be automatically increased by Windows to a seemingly unnecessary 25 GIGS of VirtualRAM. Seriously? SINCE PATCH #3, it "appears" to have lowered TEMPERATURE on GPU SLIGHTLY, but has compensated with INCREASED GPU and CPU usage on a more constant level. (50-80% generally, still hits 99% with complex issues i.e., loading P.I., docking, undocking, opening labs and POS interfacing.) This is now resulting in the following:

- LOWER FRAME RATES: Since the above mentioned change(s), frame rate has slowed. It it dramatic when several windows are opened, sometimes resulting in a 3-10 second pause in game. I would hate to think of complex mission/fleet combat of simply 1-4 ships when a freeze like this occurs.

- STILL SEE THROUGH FLOORS AND WALLS: As reported in July, at various angles of camera view IN CQ, the walls/floors/bed/docking bay grating/etc disappears... Not only can you see that I am standing on nothing, I appear to be standing above another underground floor or level, the stool and metal textured floor have become 90% translucent:
Screenshot: www.bloodstonecorp.com/cq-transparent.jpg

- CQ COMPONENTS PARTIALLY BLACK: Some objects are purely black missing any shape-modeling, color, textures, etc. (Affected objects: the connecting wall to CQ and ship hangar, as well as the POD itself).

- READ MAIL STILL REMAINS "UN"READ: This happened before back in February. Then June. Then August. Since Incarna was introduced, mail from June 26 and onward some more recent odd random pieces of mail: The game is not remembering "certain" READ vs. UNREAD mail. Thus everytime you log on, there it all is, again, marked as "unread". This was petitioned and Bug Reported in February, told as "yes, this is a known issue" and yes, it was eventually fixed. Until June 20+ where, sadly, it returned... and then again around August 20-26... Aside from the last reported focal date of June 26: (Key time to review: That "1000 AUR mail notice") stays unread, and affecting oddly sporadic mail after that date. [Reported since February 2011 and then June 2011]

- CORP DETAILS EDITING "KNOWN ISSUE" PERSISTS: To quote from bugs@eveonline.com's August 29 email: "Thank you for your bugreport - ID:108061 Title: CORP INFO COMPOSITION UI PROBLEM: Cannot Autolink: We are already aware of this problem, and have added your bugreport to the existing issue in our defect tracking system." This error is over a year old. Please add that to your listed "Known Issues" if your Development Team has declared it so.

- "WRONG ACTIONS" OCCUR UNPREDICTABLY "AT RANDOM": In addition to the Patch #2 randomness:
Example ONE: I click on switching to a different corporate wallet and a window pops up asking "Are you sure you want to UNRENT YOUR OFFICE" ...?!
Example TWO: One time, after undocking from a station, the program asked "Are you sure you want to self-destruct" my ship ...when I touched nothing after clicking the "undock" button ...?!

- MAIL COMPOSITION ERROR WITH CURSOR: Now after Patch #3, sometimes hitting the "ENTER" key while composing/responding to mail, the cursor dissappears and you now must click back into the composer UI to continue. RANDOMLY: The cursor will "hang" while typing, only to move itself to the bottom of the entire mail message, leaving what you were typing either above or at end of new message.

ISSUES SINCE INCARNA 1.1 - Patch 3 (Part 2 of 2):

- UPPER RIGHT CORNER WINDOW CONTROLS ARE STILL UNFIXED: The pin/minimize/maximize/close option icons on all windows in their upper-righthand corners still suffer the "either you click it just right, or it disappears for 3-5 seconds and reappears so you can try it again" bug. This has been reported and ignored for THREE MONTHS+ now. And it's particularly annoying.

- CARGOHOLD WINDOW OPEN DISAPPEARS UPON DOCKING: I believe this has been said enough, but confirming it is happening to me... and it, too, is particularly annoying.

- SOME WINDOWS RESET THEMSELVES STILL: I bug reported this with the typical "We couldn't replicate this error. Can you be more specific?" response. How UN-specific is it when I say: Everytime I log in, my ship's cargo windows reset their location to the exact center of my screen, and revert to big block ICONS instead of plain text listing cargo content...? Shall I be specific on how frustrating this is? The size and dimensions of each window? ...?

- SOUND: Sometimes warp sound doesn't occur, a jump gate sound follows me, a station's internal environment stays with me when in space, and ironicly, sometimes the sound outside a station (radio chatter, etc) will follow IN to the station I dock with. [shrugs] ADDITIONAL SINCE PATCH #3: Inside enivronment will not fade out when undocking. Instead, results in sharp cut to silence.

If you try and change your ammo type in T2 425mm autocannons by using the right-click menu on grouped guns you get he message, "The Advanced Autocannon Ammo cannot be fitted."

This happens about 80% of the time.

That trick also works with 150mm Light Autocannons...

Why is this bug not listed in the know issues part of the thread? Apparently it's well known by people who are switching ammo more often then I do.

The cheerful person in me says: "CCP is enjoying the weekend, so they can hunt down those bugs with redoubled vigour next monday."

The cynic says: "CCP doesn't read this thread. They don't give a **** about those bugs. This thread is just a token thread. No more client patches until next expansion. Client patches don't fix **** anyway."

Statement on behalf of CCP from Arnar Hrafn Gylfason, Senior Producer for EVE Online. Good communication and trust between CCP and the EVE community has always been a fundamental priority for CCP and will continue to be so.

Got a few issues from old updates and few new ones from the new.

Incursion:
Incursion bar in Journal is still not being updated after downtime and will show different from the local one on screen.
Jamming bar keeps spamming, when getting jammed by Niarja (?) and you warp out when the site is done a jamming bar will still be there and spam.

Log:
Seems to bork up few times not updating the right way and sometimes not updating at all.

I don't know if someone said something or not about my problem but here it is:

When I salvage, my noctis doesn't have tractors and salvagers on the hull and also no graphic effect is visible.

This problem already existed after patch 1.1. Then it vas repaired. But now after patch #3 bug returns.

Could you guys (CCP) be more careful and test it more then you usualy does before puting it on the live server?

check your graphics settings via the ESC menu, the last patch seems to have changed some user settings (even tho CCP say it didnt). I know a few that have had things like transpaency/layouts/etc changed, or reset.

Can you fix your SSL certificate for this forum please? Everytime i open them i get a warning that this website is insecure and i should leave.

This fits your whole Incarna theme but it should be very eeasy to fix.

Important Bug:

I confirm as others have stated that modules are randomly taken offline.

I HIGHLY suggest to everyone that you check them BEFORE undocking.

Minor Cosmetic Bug:

Cargo hold window changes to "MY CARGO" as the name of the ship from whatever you have the ship named after you undock if the cargo hold window is open upon undocking.

I'll try to restrain myself ...
How many times do Mac users have to blow away their saved info to do a complete client install whenever new patches come out? I've got two separate Macs, both of which require me to completely reinstall .... AGAIN!!

Will CCP just fess-up and admit they don't give a rat's _ss about Mac users. Just admit it. I have three paid accounts; however, recently there have been so many bugs I have hardly played except to log in to update training. Now another buggy patch. And perhaps I missed it - I'll double check - but i do not think I saw anything that fixes the inability to load ammo in space - which happens to be THE reason I have hardly played lately. Not a good thing to find yourself unable to reload or change ammo while in a fight. Basically makes the game unplayable unless you like loosing. By the time you fiddle with it and make it work you'd either be down to structure or the enemy would have gotten away.

Check your data CCP. I'm very much a paying customer. But, I've just about reached my limit of patience. Can't play the game anyway, and beginning to loose interest in even trying.

Another BADDDDDD patch. But then, I know you don't really care and are probably laughing at this post. You got plenty of paying customers so loosing one is but a drop removed from the ocean to you.

Find some competent Mac developers. You obviously have none. Or at least admit the Mac is not a machine you care to support. Maybe after hours of downloading and reinstalling the MAC client I'll be able to see what has changed, but that will have to wait til tomorrow night.

AARRRGGGHHHH!
