Salvage nerf is getting released, and, you will be able to make a BPC that will let you build T2 salvage from a bunch of T1 salvage...

Everyone knows that. Just look at the JITA prices on the cheap stuff.

There is one big vulnerable link in the T1 supply chain.

I have always wondered if a big alliance would exploit it for yucks and maybe profit.

Of course the OP here is probably full of sh!t.

If your smart, and its the same weak link thats being exploited right now, then you'll do well to move and capitalize on it.

As for the did i miss comments? In a way yes, but also no.

The effects of what are under way right now did start on the 21st as i said, it's going to take a few days before the commoners notice any spikes followed by shortaged followed by panic buying followed by lining my own and a select few very powerfull and influential players. Blink

If im honest, 70% of what were doing is for nothing other than ******* with empire for ***** and giggles, the other 30% is for profit. Ding dong old boy Blink

Well the vulnerability I was referring to is not be exploited.
Or at least at this time the steps have not been taken to effectively do it.

The op is still waiting on a dark coloured swan, upon which she can hang her hat.

Ok, seeing as you people cant see the tree's for the woods, lets take a quick overlook of a few ships, the same class ships i mentioned in my OP.

----------------------------- price on date of OP ------------------ Price now --------------- Increase

Thrasher -------------------------790k -------------------------------940k ------------------- 19%
Catalyst -------------------------802k --------------------------------1.1m ------------------ 37.15%
Rupture ------------------------- 5.5m ------------------------------8.2m -------------------49.1%
Omen ----------------------------3.8m ------------------------------ 5.3m -------------------39.4%
Maller ----------------------------6.9m ------------------------------ 8.5m -------------------23.2%
Hurricane ------------------------27.6m ------------------------------ 30.9m -----------------12%

Those are only a few i can be bothered to post but they show an obvious trend.

Some have risen more than others, but thats down to general player demand and certain ships being prefered over others, but overall, every ship i spoke about and snapped up in their hundereds has risen massively in such a short time, and as a side effect has made me billions in profit if i sell them all to buy orders right now, but nah, i'll keep hold of them a little while longer.

The worst performer is the 'cane up to now at only 12%, but it did peak early last weekend at 33.8m before dropping again. Worry not though, it will hit 35m within 2 more weeks once the real effect filters down to the manufacturers level. Cool

Finally, dont come posting about 'general inflation' you nay sayers Roll

Oh. Em. Gee.

She's talking about rising ship prices! OMFG!

It's like a winter expansion was released, which drove up player numbers, increasing demand for ships!!! Shocked

Mineral prices have risen, so ship prices have risen. Shocking.

(Naturally you can argue that increased ship demand has raised the mineral prices)

Never mind the fact that if you were real smart and did your speculation on some of these (destroyers in particular) in the weeks leading UP TO Crucible and then sold them straight AFTER it was launched and everyone was going ga-ga over their RoF penalty being removed, you probably could have made a few more 'billions'. :P

Some storm though. I'm thoroughly inconvenienced. Normally here in New Zealand it's shorts and T-shirts weather, but now I'm going to go have to throw on a light jacket....

DAMN YOU OP!!!!

Edit- Also, math. If you're calling this a storm, then holy mother of all that is holy what Goons did to oxytopes must have been Armageddon.

So you made an average of ~30% over 7+ days, so around 4% a day, hardley mind blowing profit TBH.

And what was with the whole 'storm' thing anyway, why do you imagine your investment portfolio is going to have any effect on anyone else?

Post #6 of this thread already mentioned that the mineral price will increase over time. Nothing new so far.

She mentioned something coming at a specific date, specifically last wednesday. So what's the point of this OP?

Well, recent mineral price increase has kept going at such a rate that I have to wonder... did Crucible break mining bots so badly that they are off the market? I mean, early spike was clearly standard expansion speculation and massive flow of materials into new Tier 3 Battlecruisers, but now... price keeps creeping up and Tier 3 BCs margins are so razor-thin that there is currently little point in building them.

If so, I guess it is a big win for all small time miners out there. More ISKies for you, extracted out of rich old timers who won't really notice if their pwnmobile went up 10-15% in total price.

I would scream speculation, but traded volumes are the SAME as pre crucible :o

I'd sit and type "Christmas holiday". Oops, I did.

Added: Buying minerals and running a manufacture supply chain is a lot less effort by someone at the keyboard than mining the minerals. So you have more time for eggnog and all that.

As an aside, I say that the Christmas spike in mineral prices is yet another indication that CCP continues to deal well with any sort of botting that produces minerals. In the past, we didn't see such spikes because the bots were able to keep up with the drop in miner activity.
