So say I wanted to put my ISK out there for bonds/loans to others. What's the best way to go about that? Using 3rd party services? Trying to put idle ISK to work.

There has never been a third party service that succesfully did it that way around.

As it is, the prospective bonds are presented here on the forum, where you must decide for yourself which you want to invest in. Many of the offers are secured with collateral using a third party to hold the collateral for that specific bond.

There certainly have. I ran a loans business placing borrowed isk into loans for quite a while and this is also more or less what Grendell has been doing with some of his bonds.

There are two types of EVE player:

those who believe there are two types of EVE player and those who do not.

Right, several of the banks did. I meant to say, no such service has persevered.

Unless you are sitting on hundreds of billions without the urge to even do a bit of ''trading'' an hour a week then i'd suggest to not invest. The rates are utterly low these days and as such the return even when you have invested 100 billion still is a small amount wich can be done by yourself with a limited amount of time put into it.

Unless you just missioned it , stole it , scammed soemone , then your trade skills might be utterly shite and the ease with wich one can work the market even too hard for you to comprehend.

The last btw is not meant as an insult , it is just that there are people who meet that requirement , not that i ''judge'' them for it.

Ow , and you could offcourse be a roleplayer or like to do it as a minigame then one could also dabble in investing , but given most is full collateral these days the ''game'' part is kinda killed off. These days it's more of a game with a predetermined ending.
I myself am in this category to some degree , well that and not playing the game for the last 6 months making even the ''urgh one hour a week'' being too much.

We are all born ignorant, but one must work hard to remain stupid.

No offense taken at all. I have messed with the markets in null recently. Getting more competitive now. No time to play any longer. At least not for a little while. Just wanted to explore some new options.
