IMO a way to increase interest is to offer voting polls during the period when the candidates are campaigning. That way the candidates themselves can ask people to vote in the polls, and if the interface for the polls is similar to the actual voting interface, even better.

Also, standardized forms for posting a character profile, so that out of 100 candidates we can tell who's who without having to hunt through forum posts. Please let the CSM candidates see exactly how their profile will appear in the voting booth or the info page or whatever.

Uh, we had standardized forms.

Woo! CSM XI!

lack of interest in the CSM is increasing why?

cause CSM is backing even more bad ideas.

when will CSM performance be tied to increasing subs in this game?

that's what I wonder.

I'll vote for any CSM that successfully drives useless NPC corp trolls out of the game.

Well, the outcome of using the form looked like badly formatted **** for quite a few candidates, so I assumed the form was:

Post whatever mis-formatted wall of text you want:

I'm looking for a form that separates a candidate stances on high, low, null, sov, capitals, industry, ganking, new players, etc. into separate fields so we can tell who's gonna represent what. "Rate how important this is to you, from 1 to 10" type stuff, accompanied by a comment field for each category. Not that agendas matter once you get voted; it's just, that's what we vote on.

Judging by the results of the election, I think we managed to get that information from reading candidate posts (CSM 10 seems to be a match for what CCP is planning to change this year), but those spikes in the last day of voting could have been higher and/or less affected by alliance "vote for me" requests, with better forms.

Never. CSM is not an acquisition tool.

You could use csm voting match app and You had everything visible there, it was even advocated by CCP this year.

You fill out questionary about what things are important to You and what are not, and what changes you hope to see in those areas and the site will give you list of all csm candidates sortet by how much they match your point of view and with additional coments by candidate regarding each of those questions.

EVE is becoming shallow and puerile; it will satisfy neither the veteran nor the "WoW" type crowd in the transition.

You seem to be looking at the STV-2 results, which attempt to measure breadth of support (whatever that means). Unlike the STV-14, the STV-2 doesn't elect anyone until the very end, so Thoric never recieved any votes from the Sion -> Endie -> Thoric ballot.

edit: for viewers playing the home game, the STV-14 is used to elect candidates, and the STV-2 is used to select the permanent attendees
