Which T3 for Cloaky PvP?

Hello All,

Until recently I've ignored T3s unless I've had a lock and then I've done my best to blow them up. Growing bored with my sub BS ships, and tired of training 20+ day skills I've decided to waste some isk on a T3. I could fly all of them and I do love my cloaky wh hunters, such as my pilgrim and arazu(no for real).

Any thoughts on which would be best here? Loki? Legion? Proteus?

Not the legion its dps is too neutered by the cloaky subsystem.

Agree. The Legion cloaky subsystem doesn't actually have bonuses... it just reduces penalties. Me sad. Sad

Proteus. It's the only t3 (or any cloaky except filmsy SB) that has any gank to speak of. Uncloak on top of the victim and take a dump. Ironically, it's the only situation where blasters work.Roll

The proteus has been my lead contender due to uncloaking blasters, I like my Arazu uncloak at range with damps and this seems more pew pew version.

Pretty much. One of the defensive subs also lets it have a ridiculously small sig too.

Food for thought: Loki has a scan res electronic subsystem for faster targeting out of stealth, and not only is it faster and more agile but shield tanking doesn't mess with your agility or speed like armor plates, nor does it take low slots away. Low slots being extra important since with cloaky configs you get no tracking bonuses, and may want tracking enhancers. Auto cannons are also make you more resistant to neuts...

Yeah. The proteus has more L337 deeps in EFT so don't think for yourself, just flip a coin on who's advice to follow. No but really the Proteus can look like a hammer head shark.... Blasters got buffed and got 1337 deeps maaaan.

OP mentions WHs. There are a huge number of Drakes and Tengus in WHs, very many of whom never bother to pack anything other than kinetic missiles. The Proteus's kinetic resists are, well, somewhat better than those of the Loki. The Proteus also has the dronebay and room for a couple of flights of ECM drones which can save your arse when Things Go Bad.

Both... Fly both in a team. Long point, long web... What's not to love. I dunno if a cloaky tengu is sacrilege. (Because who dare fly anything other than the established cookie cutter fit) Or because a cloaky gank tengu with HAMS is just dumb/the others just do it better.

Proteus wins.

Stay cloaked, all the way in to target, bump him off alignment.
When you've decloaked and locked, you're in perfect range :)

Plus everything Gypsio pointed out. +1

PS long point subsystem plus cloak sub work very well taking on more than one target..

Not forgetting that the Prot (and, ok, the Legion) can easily buffer tank a 2BS/4BC sleeper spawn for a few minutes while pewing the target.

Eagles may soar, but weasels don't get sucked into jet engines.
