Launcher only in offline mode since 25.03.

hey there

launcher is always in offline mode since yesterday. repair.exe will patch eve and i can play with exefile.exe just fine just without launcher.

I am seeing the same issue from the 25th also, launcher was fine when patching on Tuesday but when I tried to play yesterday the launcher was in offlone mode.

I have run the rescache.exe and no corrupt files were found, I have run the repair tool but that has not fixed the issue either.

Found a post by CCP Atropos in one of the stickied threads that may have an answer for this behaviour;

That's because you're continually starting the older EVE Launcher (2.2.859950) probably because you've pinned it to your task bar. That version has been half updated to the newer, download-on-demand capable version, and thus the certificates used to connect to the server have been moved and that connection can't be validated.

Try running eve.exe directly, and if that doesn't fail, reinstall just the EVE Launcher from here: http://cdn1.eveonline.com/EveOnlineLauncher/release/EVEOnlineLauncher_2_2_871481.exe


I will try this tonight as yes I do have the launcher pinned.

Reinstalling the launcher doesn't work for me and I don't even have the launcher pinned.

Just to be clear:

When I start the launcher, I see this version: 2_2_871481

And still, it cannot connect.

I had already put in a support ticket when I found this thread. Reinstalling the launcher seems to have done the trick.

Yes I had the launcher pinned but even running it through the start menu didn't work before reinstalling.

I had this very problem. I had to

1. Reinstall client from offline installer files
2. delete cache folder located in profile directory (fex. %user%/appdata/local/EVE/c_games_eve_tranquility/cache)

At first I did the step #1 only and the client worked for 1 day(!). Following day, same offline story again. So I did the step #2 and now I'm a happy little capsuleer.
