Concept for Covert Carrier

All main line of ships have a covert version, Covert Ops for Frigates, Recons for Cruisers, and Black Ops for Battleships. With the upcoming changes that will be approaching with capitals in the future why not put in a new advanced class for some of the most loved ships in the game the Capitals. I have had this idea in my head for some time now and have even ranted about it on comms with fellow corpies. I am no expert in creating the hard numbers for the exact stats but the bonus' and the overall idea is my starting point.

Spec Ops Capital

The over all idea of this ship is that it is a new way to enjoy the use of the covert ops cloak and and covert cyno. This is a super tanked support vessel. It has no offensive capabilities what so ever but can use Links and is interdiction nullified. It can only jump to covert cynos. With this ship comes a very unique new addition to the game. At base skill level It can hold 5 ships fo the same family up to cruiser size (Covert Ops,Recon, Strat With Covert Mod) that are piloted. (Yes I Said Piloted) The Pilots of these ships while docked in the Spec Ops Capital see a small station style interior of their ship with no clue as to what is going on outside besides the word of the Spec Ops Pilot and chat windows. The ship itself would have less base HP than a normal Carrier by about 20%.

Racial Carrier Bonus
Tank Resist Modifier 7.5% per level
remote rep/booster cap use reduced by 10% per level

Spec Ops Bonus
+1 ship docked inside per level
?% bonus to scan resolution per level
?% bonus to align time per level
+1 lightyear to max jump range per level

Role Bonus
can fit warfare links
can fit covert ops cloak
50% reduction in Jump fatigue.


The Exit Strategy
With this ship we can also have a new deployable called The Exit Strategy Technical Name is Mobile Cyno Beacon. This Deployable is a remotely activated covert cyno beacon that can be placed in a staging system of the pilots choice. You do have to fuel it and can only hold enough fuel for one activation. So be careful with its use. It is only useable to the person who deploys it. It is able to be scanned down. It should have a m3 size that is roughly the same as a an MTU.

I think that an addition of something similar to these could be a great content generator.

if it has a jumpdrive it shouldnt be able to fit a cov ops cloak, however what sort of situation would you use this in?

Ummm we have a BLOPS and a carrier BLOPS (this) would be OP as hell especially with cov-ops cloak.

OP... bear in mind that not even Black-Ops Battleships can use Covert-Ops cloaks (they can't warp cloaked... at all) and they are not interdiction nullified.

But they also have offensive capabilities this does not. No drones no weapons.

See a new idea I had not even thought of the WH fun this could have. I guess not living in wormholes makes you blind to tactics there.

Might as well make it invisible to Dscan as well, in case the pilot feels bad about using the covert ops cloak.

The jump drive capability is already a very powerful weapon, giving them another weapon like the covert cloak would be way way too much and would result in very broken gameplay.

We totally need a black ops capable capital level logistic with an agility bonus, jump freighter jump range, reduced fatigue that can also bring 5 cruisers with their pilots on board potentially not incurring them fatigue for a 10LY jump and can light it's own exit cyno. It also happen to have the best resist/level tank bonus in the game because :reasons:.
