Need more DPS

Hello.

Here is my problem, I need more DPS.

Someone has offended me and they have a pos. The active members flee from me and I can't hurt them.

So I go after their POS.

Only problem is, I can tank it easily, but my DPS sucks.

I only manage 998.7 DPS.

I use a shield tanked tornado with 800mm repeating autocannons t2 with hail.

Should i get a typhoon with torps?

I have been pounding this small tower for almost an hour and it's almost downtime.

Any fits with something more like 5k DPS?

I just need more DPS.

Shield tanked domi with ogres & blasters can get about 1200dps, bit more with paste

if you need 5x the dps your doing now, your going to need another 4 ships

Exactly more ships and depending where it is: Carrier. but tbh. in generel this is not a good idea solo.

Domi with Ogre, I guess will not work as he needs to shoot through the FF. Therefore he would need Sentries!

Best dps output you can reach is maybe Rattlesnake (up to 1.6k dps) or a ship with polarized weapons (just first incapacite the guns). Maybe above Dominix, just with polarized weapons? 1537dps with Polarized Mega Pulse Laser on a small POS, Depending on the pos size you shoot it goes down to 1.300dps if it's a large POS.

He said it was a POS, So ogres won't hit the pos. So he's pretty much stuck using longer ranged weapons and Sentries.

To the OP: What kinda POS is it? If you want it taken my Alliance offers contracts for doing so.

Most mercenary Corps (mine included) will do a pos teardown for a fee + wardec cost.

Poke your head into the "Crime and Punishment" sub forum and ask For a quote, the size of the pos, type of stick ,any defense it may have or it's likelyhood of being defended will all have an influence on the fee so be ready with that if you're set on killing this pos.

Don't take it solo man, that's almost as boring as mining.

I think the most you could pull for a subcap pos bash would be something with polarized guns dealing ~2k DPS. If you want 5k, you'll need a bigger boat.

Deals ~2200dps out to almost 20km, which is enough to hit the small POS I think. You'll have pretty weak ehp even with the triple plates though, so you'd want to pop the guns first.

Where does your fitting will deal 2,2k dps to 20km?
It will not even deal 1.6k dps to 15km of a FF of a Small tower. And will be even worse at Medium and compared to Standard POS Bash BC/BS completely irrelevant for Large Towers!

Your above fittings has an optimal of 7.6km . On a Small POS if you are really close the the FF you will have effectively just slighty above 1k dps.
With Null it has 14km, with Faction Iron 16km, but only 1.032dps remain.
With Null loaded on a Large POS in reality you will be somewhere around 1000dps. Even on a small POS NULL L is much better than your loaded VOID L!

Edit: Geddon Navy Issue with Sentries and Polarized Pulse might be a valid option as well if you want to go more faction / expensive. ~1.400dps on a large Pos, more on Medium and Small (@ 1.8k dps)

Go buy a ship called friend. Friend ship can easily double, triple, quadruple... With almost no limit your DPS.

Just as an extra note: it matters a LOT what type of POS you're hitting, they have resistances just like anything else.

Forgive me for not having the right ammo loaded, the fit was cooked up in literally a minute.

The point wasn't to make the uber-POS bashing ship, if that wasn't apparent from my post (my bad) it was to show that a 5k dps POS obliterating subcap wasn't going to happen. I built out the max paper DPS boat I could think off the top of my head that could hit a small POS.

The other poster made a comment about me using the wrong ammo. As for the paper DPS, once again that's a case of me not taking the time to look it over right. I just took the paper DPS and the shortened range listed on my screen and puked it out here.

navy geddon is what we would use.
1600dps without actually fitting for dps so if defenders show up you can actually fight in the damn thing
and has the projection to hit the tower regardless of its size particularly if you have sentry drones

and looking boss while doing so

(the dps does drop regarding medium and large towers though),
solo bs is somewhat vulnerable and it will need cap at somepoint, yeah you can fit it cap stable but eeeeeew.

in short, make friends ,use alts , pay mercs whatever but pos's arent ment to be soloable in highsec without considerable effort.
