If I destroy a POS in wormhole without destroying the POS modules. Is it possible to anchor a new POS and simply online the old guns? I'm excluding hardeners / SMA / CHA from this scenario.

If not, is it possible to even anchor a new POS with those modules still there?

You have to unanchor the modules, or destroy them.

when a pos is popped, all those modules are listed as un-anchored. Not sure since I've never anchored a tower at a site with modules but the most you would have to do is scoop them.

edit: most wont bother since in order to take down said tower, ecm & guns usually get shot. Repairing hundreds millions of hp in armor is more tedious than the pos take down.

Sometimes i need to replace a pos for example from small to medium.
I need to empty and unanchor everything but don't need to scoop the modules.
Then i deploy and online the new tower.

If you got an old pos spot with a destroyed tower you need to repair all modules (structure and hull) to 100% before you are able to unanchor (needs starbase role). After that you will be able to deploy your tower.
