The high sec custom offices are the definition of carebear and anti new gamer experience.

HS POCOs aren't that great. The planets are pretty terrible and any serious PI peeps will move to more lucrative pastures in wormholes or null sec alliance pocos w/e. The isk trickles in but it will take 20 years to pay off the costs of putting them up. Sure some planets are more valuable than others but my wallet did not get "fat". I am still in the red. Even after all this time since the change.

Thanks for some feedback.

I'm not sure how it's as easy as to 'war dec' the corp. Declaring war can range from 50million isk up to 500 million for the player/corp from what I've read. That's a huge amount of iks for new'er' players to the game.

To me it goes back to the old adage that we like to hear or read about in eve: risk versus reward. To me there were little to no risks involved for the players placing their new poco's in high sec exchanging hands from NPC's. On the flip side for new players they would take huge risks in order to change ownership of that structure (that is if they want a customs office and to no longer be subjected to 20 percent or more in tax). I'd venture to say that these players with high sec customs offices are well established EvE players.

I think we should give every new player some hisec POCO's just so they can solo EVE and enjoy themselves without those pesky 'other players' messing up their isk gathering efficiency.

Almost sounds like vets in Null Sec. I'd hate to see the forums if their investments in Poco's could change hands easier...... the irony.

If those who were first to remove an Interbus POCO and replace it with their own in hisec have seen a positive ROI to this date I'd be very surprised.

I have some pocos, When I first placed them they costed around 200mil.
The biggest earner of my pocos brings in (on average) 20mil/month.
My poco holding corp has been wardecced, I've lost some, had to retake some etc... etc...

Fingers crossed for them paying off and me making it bigtime in 72 months from now.

Odd, checking the market prices over the last year in Dodixie they have hovered around 60-80 million isk. Where and when did you purchase a customs office for 200 million?

Jeebus, I don't know... Somewhere in metropolis and when they first came out so... a while ago.
Also: not only the gantry, you do know you have to... put stuff in it to work, right?

8 * 1.5 Broadcast Node
8 * 1 Recursive Computing Module
8 * 1.3 Self-Harmonizing Power Core
8 * 1.5 Wetware Mainframe
= 42.2 mil (Best price possible at this time, was more back in the day)
(( it was 120mil for the gantry and 80mil for the additional stuff. Damn you for making me look it up!))

Pretty sure of it, actually.

I tried with an ibis: concord will intervene.

So, how many thousands of frigates you will have to suicide for one downed CO? ;)

Yeah, huge amount for new players... I guess maybe a little bit (-- still less than 1 plex).
Anyway, why would a new player want to solo war dec a corp that has POCOs? Doesn't make any sense.

And for anyone who can do L4 missions, 50-500mill really ain't that much.

But again... it's not a solo endeavour to go and wardec people.
