Right about now or as soon as possible are probably a good answers.

I wouldn't postpone it much further.

ATXII: Deadline was 11:00 UTC, April 24th 2014
ATXI: Deadline was 11:00 UTC May 15th, 2013
ATX: Deadline was 11:00 UTC May, 05, 2012
ATIX: Deadline was close of signups May 15, 2011

Last year, obviously, they moved the deadline to a much earlier date than prior years. So, assuming there is going to be a hard deadline again this year, and assuming CCP likes to throw us curveballs, NOW is a good time to get your people into your alliance.

Having said that... I do believe that CCP is going to throw us a curveball, by not giving us a ridiculous lockout date like recent years!

CCP Gargant was on the EveDownUnder radio show on January 9th, 2015, and he hinted that deadlines were going to be handled differently this year. If you go to http://evedownunder.com/ and scroll down to the first Soundcloud link, you can find the complete recording. He started discussing tournaments around 12:00-ish.

At 18:25, he stated:
"So,enforcing draconian cutoff dates which I slap on the day before I announce it, it's a very, very bad way of doing it, but it was just the best way of doing it last year. We're definitely already looking at how we're going to tackle it this year.
And it's not going to be a no, sorry, you can't join unless you were in this alliance and did nothing else in the game for eight months, you just have to sit down and watch, sorry. No, no, that's not what I want. This is supposed to be fun for everyone, and there has to be a way of finding some sort of, I don't know, player transfer period, grace period, where people can go where they want to be."

As you are aware, of course, things change drastically all the time, and what was being thought about and discussed in January may have been completely thrown out the window by now. We won't know until they announce this year's Alliance Tournament, and making any guesses right now are exactly that: guesses.

So, we might get a curveball we like regarding the deadline this year... but if I were you, I'd still plan on making sure you got your desired team members into your alliance pretty much right now.

What you do for yourself dies with you, what you do for others is immortal.

We asked this specificaly to Gargant multiple times and he said there wont be any unannounced cut-off dates.
It will likely be announced 2 weeks befor the actual cut-off, so everyone has time to get into their respective alliances.

Can a dev please update the community in what is going on. Those who live in the real world need to plan there summer and vacation not only with work but friends and family. Wasting time getting a team together for the next month when rl events need to be booked ahead of time to find out were either not in or wekends don't line up is frustrating.

Is it going to run into September again?
At deadline?

I'd prefer real answers by devs who are organising this and not player feedback as that doesn't help much.

Thanks
