So you know what you need to do to compete, you just refuse to do it... therefore we should feel sorry for you and change the rules to punish those more successful than you.

Gotcha.

Why not? This is what millions of Americans seem to want to vote for these days as proved by the fact that Obama is president.

Yes, people are so jealous and irrational these days.

Liberal Hipster: Waahhh that guy is rich, I'm going to go live in the park outside of his office and poop all over the place. Waaahhh. Then I'll vote for Obama because he's going to give me allLll his money. Waaahh.

Podcorn: What the hell? You are jealous and irrational. Why do you care about money so much anyway . Also, pooping outside is gross, wipe your butt.

Don't get me started.

One side: use other people's money to make me richer!
Other side: send other people's kids to pointless wars so I can feel safer.
Bankers, fat cats, etc: Har har! Suckers!

Wow so not only do you not understand how Eve works but don't understand how US politics works. Thanks for letting us know.

I think the real problem is not that bigger corps can trump smaller corps ( working as reality ).

I think the problem is that for quite some time people doing PI did not have to contend with this. They trained their characters and invested their isk and game-time into a profession. Now with a single stroke of the keyboard ( so to speak ) the rug has been yanked out from under them.

This is an all too common pattern in eve.

Releasing things half-thought-through, and then fixing them later seems to be par for the course.

Don't get me wrong, props to CCP for fixing it, I think it's better this way.

But I think people have a right to be upset, and shouldn't be belittled for railing against the change, because something they enjoyed doing in the past is now taken away, or perhaps I should say " now has been moved beyond their reach"

The old adage 'adapt or die' does apply, but I can remember countless times when something I had trained for was nerfed, and it was often upsetting.

I am better off these days, because after years of training, I'm cross-trained enough that it's pretty easy to move on to the next big shiny thing with little training, but I still remember the days when a setback like this could mean months of training to become good at the new thing.

So the complainants have my sympathies, as I certainly feel their pain. But such is eve, and you're better off learning now ( rather than later ) that this is the way things go, and if something seems easy to do on your own, you should enjoying / reap the profits from it while you can, but don't count on it sticking around.
