[Solved] Scylla Update - Launcher fails to start

Apparently my Eve Client doesn't want to update correctly. When I started the launcher just 30 Minutes ago, it said "Downloading Launcher Update" or something along these lines. Then the launcher closed and nothing else happened. As far as terminal output goes, this is what I get:

Same thing when I manually try to restart the launcher. What's the trick?

I had to kill two launcher processes then ran the launcher again.  It seems to be working now.

Update:

I had to kill two launcher processes and run the launcher again when I started playing after work.

Yeah, my update process was a bit hairy as well, but everything seems to have worked out after the relaunch. oh this is just great. I'm on windows 8 and the launcher is not working AT ALL. But you run it under what's essentially a hacked windows compatibility layer (WINE) under linux and it works?!?!? wtf? I can't log into eve at all under windows, the OS this game was designed to run in natively.
