You can all back right the **** off the name of the Jackdaw. I love it, and any of you who speak ill of it will be put on a list.

I kind of like the name.


Not enough to fly some butt ugly Caldari ship but the name doesn't bother me.

The Gallies get a cool, modern ship with flowing lines and curves. A decent design flowing from the T1 and T2 destroyers.

Some interesting traits to the Jackdaw Bird:

They are known to pick up shiny objects such as jewellery to hoard in nests.

Occasionally, a sick or injured western jackdaw is mobbed until it is killed.

The main call, frequently given in flight, is a metallic and squeaky chyak-chyak or kak-kak.[12] This is a contact or greeting call.

I don't hate the name, but it could be something better. Jackdaw doesn't even really fit with the names of other Caldari ships.


... I do hate pretty much everything about the "Svipul" though

It's worse. If it would be only a big stick, like a missile-spawning baby-rokh, I wouldnt mind. But its thin 'sticks'/'wings'/'antenna' whatever things left-right-up-down-all-over-the-ship messing it up badly.
And again the caldari T3 is the ugliest, thank you CCP, I would not fly it.

Look, I understand Caldari are supposed to be all business like and industrial, but the Jackdaw juist looks like the Confessors anorexic twin sister after an accident with an with the tv aerial. All of the antenna sensors could have been replaced with something more substantial.

As for the name? Hell, the Kingfisher suggestion was a more sexy version than Jackdaw.
