A new type of cloak

Was just thinking how much fun it'd be if there were a cloak that made your ship appear to be 1 class smaller.

The name and appearance of the cloaked vessel would be tied to the faction and tier, and would show accordingly on scans.

For example, a Megathron would appear to be a Thorax, and a real Thorax would appear as an Incursus, etc.

Key giveaways would include targeting time and maximum velocity.

The cloak would break upon firing weapons or receiving damage.

Your thoughts?

There have been threads with similar ideas before.

I had one myself where but it would also allow you to appear bigger, and possible allow you to look like a T2 ship of the same size as you. it would also be race limited so you cannot disguise an amarr ship as a caldari ship.

So for example, a hurricane would be able to disguise as any minmatar T1 BS, Cruiser and industrial and also T1 and T2 BCs.

And the disguise would break as soon as you start locking someone or launch drones.

Would it work in reverse.

Make your nice Harbinger look like a crappy Maller?
Cause that would be fun... at least for me.
