Questions about Bond Purchasing

Background:
I've been making profits in other endeavors, but there is a limit to the amount of isk I willing to risk at a time in them.
And so i've reached the point where I want to expand into other revenues, and have been watching the purchasing/selling of collateralize'd Bonds as the next source of profits.

But before I jump into it, I was wondering if anyone was willing to share some of their "lessons learned". Things to look out for, etc.

Thank You in advance.

There aren't many collateralized loans to invest in and those that do come up have very low interest rates.

Unless you are inactive or obscenely rich, you can probably find something better to do with your isk.

I agree with BB , investing the last years is for those who are even too lazy to spend an hour a week at most on orderupdating. The point where you can't manage to invest it in a better way is well over 1T isk. However some people like to see it as roleplaying or a minigame.

Only reason for me to keep doing it these days is because of ''sentiment of old days'' and , the bonus i have , that if you don't play the game any more then win or loose and the amount of interest it gives when you win does not make a big difference to start with.

We are all born ignorant, but one must work hard to remain stupid.

Some borrowers will be interested in quickly dumping their assets, so even if its collateralized they still might default.

The thing about it is, I do not play much now.
I normally set 1/2 my profit away in PLEX. However the last 3 or so months, that has not been the case.

So, even a 3-5% return on a secured or semi-secured loan is more than 0.

Again I appreciate the advice.

Then compile a list of 10-50 unique items you think are at long-term low prices but likely to trend upward, and buy lots of each.

For instance if you thought the Vargur, Nemesis and Machariel were at unusually low prices you might seek to buy 70 units of the first, 3000 of the second and 200 of the third and just sit on them until you want to be more active.
