I live in (an ordered to) Germany. Therefore I've chose the EU-Edition, of course. But the system only offered me UPS-Shipping for ~11€. I ordered it anyway and opened a support ticket. I hope CCP can fix this...

..

Well take the 11 € .. I took the EU version and FedEx is charging me more than 20€

Shipping & Handling (FedEx International Economy): 29,43

For sending it to Austria...

  • Server overloaded.. okay, understandable
  • € 30 for shipping to The Netherlands.. a tad expensive, wish I had known beforehand
  • Credit card as only payment option.. unacceptable and unrealistic, especially in Europe where they're not as widespread

I really hope this book is going to be worth all the trouble I had to go through to buy it.

Thank you CCP! If your site had worked properly and the delivery cost was not akin to sending the book via suborbital flight, I would never had a chance to buy a copy! Lol

(There was 465 units remaining when I came back from work, and I had no isssue with the buy process beyond picking my jaw from the floor when I read that the "express" delivery costed more than the actual book...)

Got it.

The S&H is outrageous: €39 for Italy. It'd be cheaper to buy a roundtrip Ryanair ticket to wherever it's being printed!!!

440 books left after my purchase.

Damn! How bad you milk us is almost insane! We cannot stop purchasing your crap, and you know it!!! *shakes fist*

I cant select shipping method for some reason, as it shows no options, no text, nada... And so:

I CANNOT BUY THE FRIGGIN BOOK SINCE 15:00 GMT.

WORST ONLINE SHOPPING EXPERIENCE EVER.

REALLY, IS THIS HOW YOU TREAT YOUR CUSTOMERS WILLING TO PAY 90€ FOR A TOY BOOK?

FFS...

And almost 10 hours later I finally got it...

NEXT TIME STRESS TEST THE "thing" and try to place these events outside of fanfest, as your workforce is mainly appointed to maintaining it (I believe).

The shipping is also too darn expensive 40€?

Next time get a cheaper option.

Australia. I know it has been said that there will be copies sent down here for us to purchase, but I wanted the opportunity to get a signed copy. Didn't matter, after 30 minutes of waiting for the site to actually load, all the signed copies were gone.

How do you even know you have a signed copy?

If you do things right, people won't be sure you've done anything at all...

If the first 1000 sold have the signatures and about 500 are reserved already then it doesn't surprise me that they are not selling so well now. It would have been nice if they were all signed but TBH it must suck having to sign your signature 1000 times let alone 2001 times.

Nearly everybody got signed as of now. Math is simple:

1) "That leaves 1591 books available to order."
2) "The lithos are signed if you are one of the lucky first 1000 who makes an order."
3) At the moment of my writing of this post, 564 copies are not sold yet.

This means that as of now, people ordered:
- 1000 signed copies
- 27 unsigned copies

Looks like some amount of copies will not be sold at all - i suspect that because of horrific service and idiotic shipping price for half of the world (170 Euro).

Right now i'm even glad that CCP prevented me from ordering limited edition and saved my money - i think i'll not buy it even if they will fix shipping price. Probably later i'll order hardcover from Amazon twice cheaper.

P.S. It will be especially funny if CCP will fail to sell even these 2000 "limited" edition copies Ugh

So the books reserved for CCP staff and for Dark Horse Comics as well as the ones sent to Australia are unsigned? Your math states that 591 books are unsigned... out of the entire 2001 editions printed. Why would they screw over 591 people? If we look at the fine print it states that the first 1000 sold feature the signatures. Aren't reserved books considered sold first? I hope I'm wrong though... :)

That would be nice, but I doubt it. As far as I know when limited edition Source was sold at here in Australia none of them were signed. Here's hoping!

But yes, this ends up costing less than half of just the postage costs coming from the official website! xD
