IKON Publishing. They are a wholesaler. So unfortunately we just have to hope it turns up in our local book stores or something because you cannot purchase from them directly without an ABN and approved account as far as I understand.

It will be on http://www.popcultcha.com.au/. If you already made an order to Australia, you can contact support@eveonline.com and have it cancelled, so that you can order from popcultucha.com.au. They were planning to open for pre-orders today and general sales on March 25th. 200 units dedicated to that vendor.

What A **** decision on their behalf though, I'm not paying nearly 2x the book to get it.

After nearly an hour and a half of pure unadulterated frustration, my order has been placed. I have the receipt for my copy. While I am super happy about this... I'm also a little sad. Because I know that if I had all these issues despite taking as much preparation ahead of time as possible, it means a lot of other folks who did the same are probably not going to be this lucky and may miss out.

I hope CCP uses this as a learning experience for next time they want to sell something awesome in limited quantities.

So...

It was even stated within the keynote that the supply didn't even nearly meet the demand that was expected for the product. This is really quite a poor show. I can understand the limited amount, but not if when it comes down to it you just have to be lucky enough to gain access to the site. We've been using multiple computers with no success just to order one single copy... I fear that by the time we do actually gain entrance to the site that there will be no copies left and I've already given up all hope of getting one that's signed...

This is a really poor show CCP, even though it is not entirely your own fault. I think the right thing to do at this point would be to commissions another few 1000 for those that were unfortunate enough like myself so have these connection issues. :C
