I'm bored out of my mind

I am secretly all of Green Skull. The rest of them just don't know they're my alts.

Back on topic though people, the OP is right, let's not derail this anymore.

OP, you can start PvPing, learning and getting better at it from day one. It is difficult, and punishing to the ego. You will die. You will die often, in silly ways, to silly people, for silly reasons. Whether you stick around to learn how or not depends on how you approach EVE. If you approach this game like other popular MMOs, you likely won't stay long. EVE is different in that it's very honest about who you are in the grand scheme of things when starting out. We all start out as nobodies, trying to learn and defend ourselves against the odds. If you have played many other MMOs, you will have to unlearn a lot of what they taught you. There is very little instant gratification in EVE from a game design perspective. Simply playing EVE doesn't entitle you to success, it's always a struggle.

EVE's learning curve is also (in)famously steep; here are some resources to take a look at regarding PVP specifically.

If I think of more to add, I'll edit this post.

Grrr.

amazing how things evolve into something else like this topic

I'm going to do mining for now it's boring but at least it's not tedious like missions

PvP is on my to do list but what I found so far it's not really that fun having got into it yet but I did some research the penalties are too great for me right now to get into it

Mining is more tedious than missions.
There are no penalties to PVP.
Just think of ships like ammunition -- they are consumed as they are used. As soon as you can afford some spare ships, throw them into the fight. +1 on the recommendation to join an NPSI roam. Spectre Fleet is good, they always have something going on.

I'm willing to do PvP I just don't want to get kicked out of anywhere
the reason why I think missions are tedious you do the same missions over and over there's a lack of variety there at least when you mine you can watch TV or youtube

As long as you can restrain yourself from blowing up pods, it takes quite a bit to lose enough sec status where you get hassled in high sec. ( hassled, not kicked out ).

The penalty you dread is actually so little that most folk can keep their sec status high enough by shooting the occasional rat while roaming. Just avoid any fleets that spend hours shooting structures in low sec and let pods until you decide it doesn't really matter anyways.

Join (M.public Channel) or hop in a combat frigate and test you might in the closest low sec system you can find.

Find out you get a rush from warping into battle, Shoot baddies, Get blown up, Join Fac War, Shoot Baddies with Buddies, WIN!
