The T-Shirts are exclusive for Fanfest attendees this year and not included in the subscription offer which instead has three ship skins instead of the one ship we've usually had in the past. Keeping the T-shirt exclusive is the same thing we did for EVE Vegas last year where we sold the Quafe Megathron with stream purchases.

You are ofc right, only they said it somewhere that the skins will come with game time special offers "around fanfest". (I think CCP Guard mentioned it in the o7 show?)
I knew it in advance and anyone who pays close attention to news would have been able to.

I checked my account in advance and saw it would expire in April. Check.
(otherwise I might just have eaten one PLEX instead of buying 12 months)

But I actually expected that the Quafe Domi might come with a 12 month offer (you have 3 ship skins, what would you do?).
Now, I usually do not buy any subscription for such long periods (gas, mobile phone, any other service), because it's always the same: after 5 or 9 months you realize you don't want the service and you find you have payed in advance and cannot cancel.
Therefore I demand of any service provider (including CCP) that their product is so good that I will always resub and they don't have to talk me into 12 or 24 months subscriptions payed in advance.

I bought the Quafe Domi from the market. Everything can be bought with ISK.

Which is very good by the way (compared to other games). No one is forced to buy Aurum or the like and still can enjoy all the vanity items.

Look folks, the offer had to start at some cutoff point. Any point is going to be arbitrary and affect an equal number of people. If they made it retroactive for 30 days, the people who re-upped 31+ days ago will be just as pissy as those of you who missed the actual start date.

It sucks. So what. Get over it. Life goes on.

...Aaand as per usual people connecting from Japan get screwed. The skin options aren't even available.

If you guys would give me a way to subscribe without going through a company (Nexon) that does nothing more than a bit of translation now and then and regularly manages to leak customers' credit card information - i.e. subscribe in the same way as everybody else is in the world is allowed to - I'd jump at it, but as it is I'm left paying cash for plex every month.

That is noted and we'll see if it makes sense to do notifications differently in the future.

Make this a permanent feature of Fanfest: bonuses for subscriptions, only available for two weeks.

Randomly including these bonuses will always **** off too many people. There has to be a cutoff somewhere, and, say, 17% of subscribers (or two months, assuming they were evenly spread out) are going to feel cheated regardless of where that cutoff falls. Even though they never lost anything, and I thoroughly enjoyed the salt earlier in this thread.

Thanks for the help, CCP Guard - I'll contact customer support. I do wish you guys had negotiated a better deal with Nexon that didn't *force* people in Japan who don't require Nexon's language services to go via them or use PLEX... (sigh).

This kind of sucks.

I have a sub until june, and while I do have plans to retain my subscription after that date, I don't have 130 euro to put towards some skins right at the moment.

I really wish this had just been similar to previous years. I had my 20 euro set aside for the HD stream, and now I find out that won't even get me a tristan skin.

I think it's kind of unfair to tie the fanfest rewards to such large sums of money, to be honest, especially since there was almost no warning. I'm willing to spend money on EVE. I have subbed, I have gotten the collectors edition, I got EVE source, but this is just so sudden that I don't have the cash ready :(

If you wanted to do this sort of route, I would have rathered a better than usual deal over fanfest for the same 20 euro as normal. This is now the first year since I started that I won't get the fanfest goodies :(

Subbed last night. Website timed out 4 times, informing me each time that card declined. Only I find actually that out of those 4 failures, it took my money 3 times. Even then it only added my subscription 2 times.

So, right now, I am waiting for £180 back.

Support ticket raised immediately but...... fanfest. So.... hope my bank can wait....
