Graphics bug - Text and icons distorted on Macbook Pro discrete GFX card

When using the the discrete GeForce 750M card on my Macbook Pro, icons and text look like this.

It worked perfectly fine until a few weeks ago, and it works fine when using the integrated Intel Iris Pro. It also works fine on the GeForce 750M when I boot the Macbook into Windows 7. Other games work fine in OS X on both the Intel and Nvidia cards.

Reinstalling EVE (and deleting the config files in ~/Library/Application Support/EVE Online) did not work.

Is this a known problem? Any tips would be greatly appreciated, the poor Iris Pro is struggling with PBR... :P

That's exactly what I saw after I updated to 10.10.3 beta. Did you?

Yes, I did! I am currently at 10.10.3 (14D72i).

Thanks for the reply, i had totally forgotten that I still get OS X beta versions. Did you find any workaround?

Not yet, no. EVE is not the only game affected. It might be something to do with Cider, or something farther down.

Same issue with 27" iMac with GTX780.

10.10.3 seems to have dome something rather odd. The launcher seems to work ok, but the game is all kinds of graphically bugged. Tried tossing the application support folder in case something had gotten corrupt in there, but didn't help. Also tried copying a working copy of app from laptop (still on 10.10.2), but same issue.

GuildWars 2 launcher is just a black box when trying to launch it for testing, but Diablo III seems to load and play just fine without any noticeable change for whatever that's worth.

Diablo 3 is a native game in OS X (correct me if i am wrong. Blizzard develops OS X version of their games co-currently with Windows counterpart)

For GW2 I have no problem playing it in 10.10.3 but for EVE I had the same problem and after reinstalling it back to 10.10.2 everything is back to normal.

This is on a 2012 15" rMBP with 650m :)

Same issue with a MacBook Pro 15" with 16gb Ram, NVIDIA GeForce GT 750M 2048 MB, and running 10.10.3. Eve is so far the only game that is effected with the graphics issue.

STO is affected. TESO and LOTRO are not.

Maybe CCP Sledgehammer should log in his spy alt in Zenimax and figure out what they're doing differently. Pirate

The issue was resolved in the latest 14D98G patch of 10.10.3. :D
