POCO gantry & overview

Does a POCO gantry show on the overview? On any overview setting?
What happened: I went to a planet and saw no POCO. I decided to put up my own. I got a gantry, but when I tried to launch it I got an error message "Gantry already in orbit". Except I saw none. I set my overview to my "All" setting (and I did check it really did cover everything) and...no gantry on the overview.
So, is it that gantries do not show on the overview? Or could this be a glitch? Or something else?

Other information: If you try to launch a gantry on a planet with a POCO, you get a different error message than the one I saw. Something like "customs office already in orbit". On the planet in question, when I look for "warp to customs office", that option is not there.

If you right click on the planet in the overview do you see a fly out for "customs office"? If not on that planet, on other planets?

I see it for other planets, but not for the one I tried to anchor a POCO at.

Assuming it's not a some kind of special system, I wonder if someone placed a POCO but forgot to anchor it (total guess). In which case it would be cool if you could just scoop it.

A couple of other ideas - turn on 'all' in the overview tab / use combat probes for structures.

I tried the "all" setting. I have not tried combat probes.
There is the possibility someone launched a gantry, then did not improve it, and warped off without bookmarking it. And now its lost in space. But that assumes a gantry does not show on the overview, which is my question. Does a gantry show on the overview?

I know that this is probably a foolish question but did you check on dscan if it is not on grid an not a celestial like object then that should show it.

It was not a foolish question, I had not tried d-scan. It does not show, where the other POCOs do show.

Edit: They DO show on d-scan! I had lost them in the clutter. No distance given, hence they will not show on the overview unless you are on grid.

That means someone launched a gantry on this planet and did not improve it.

Edit2: I found it with combat probes. This opens another question: If you drop a gantry in some odd location, off grid,, most people will think the planet is open, and go get a gantry (like I did). One reason to do this is to sell gantries. (I think I'll resell mine before the price drops).

Is this valid game play?
