Customer support will NOT be changing gifts at this stage. If you picked one thing and want to change it to something else then that is, unfortunately, not possible.

Thanks for heads up, Navigator.

Two of my accts were a no show for the gifts. Petitioned and it was taken care of within a few hours.

What about people who had their choice changed by CCP??

I got 2 lots of Fuel Block BPO, but only asked for 1, the other choice was Aurum (CCP got it wrong, I got no Aurum)

personally I feel that any gift that comes with conditions and requires the jumping through of hoops is a **** gift

there I said it.

merry Christmas Johnnie! santa left you a present, but you can only have it if you clean your room and paint the garage before bedtime.

I am amused at some players. They are like:

"I don't log into the game so I can't see the news. I don't check any form of social media even when it is the official channels for a game I play. I delete any email from the company without reading it. I don't visit the forums regularly. Now those bastards gave a gift and I didn't know it was time limited. I know about the gift, so now I want it! You are a bad company for not telling me about this gift. I want it naow!"

At what stage in your life are you willing to let go of your diapers and take some responsibility for yourself? Yes, it is just a video game. But if you fail so badly at this very, very simple thing how do you make it to your toothbrush in the morning?

Well, Santa has always only left presents for good boy's and girls that do their chores, obey their parents, and check the forums on a regular basis.

I see you didn't mention going into your rarely visited account management page (makes you wonder WTF eve-gate is for besides breaking the forums)

so can we assume this is one of the hoops santa didn't envision?

Acting like this GAME is some type of real-world matter that we need to step up and take "responsibility" for.

This is a game... we played for entertainment.... We pay our dues... And we expect to get what is a standard and historically supported item every Christmas.

" At what stage in your life " are you going to be able to separate your game life from your real-life..?

this is why I - AVOID- the forums... It's full of people like you... I should not have to come here to deal with people of your type.

And it's not just you it's everyone else sitting on their high horse acting like they're some kind of moral authority on the world because they read the forms.

You are wrong. EVE is a virtual world. It's not an amusement park. What has made the game so successful and so immersive is that CCP created an alternate reality every bit as harsh as the one in which we reside. If you want 'fun' go play world of tanks, go play WoW. EVE isn't supposed to be 'fun' (the slogan was 'EVE is REAL' not 'EVE is FUN'). It's supposed to be a virtual world in which decisions have consequences, including the decision to ignore the multiple announcements stating when the (entirely too generous) gifts would expire.

I missed out on the quafe zero on most of my accounts because I forgot the due date. I didn't come whining on forums or filing petitions asking for special dispensation from CCP. The reason I abhor forums is that it is now overrun with whiny EZ mode WoWtards who haven't the foggiest clue what EVE is all about.

That's fine.

But you could always open your email once in a while.

You might find that these little annoyances can be avoided. If you blacklisted mail from CCP then you have, IMO, only yourself to blame for missing out.

It all comes down to the this.

CCP mass eve mailed everyone about the god damn NEX store with the aurum crap.

But for some reason could not be bothered to use the most direct way to inform its players about the details of the XMAS gift.

And forcing them to the account management page to get it? I mean really?

Obscure mentions in a dev blog in tiny text buried in a paragraph?

I mean its like CCP is trying to **** people off on purpose.

They really should have already had a meeting about this and extended the deadline.

Hell I choose my gift in the window of when they had pulled remap option. And they never reset my options so i could re-choose after the changed the rules on me.

Bravo on F-ing up again.

How you can **** people of with legitimate reasons to be pissed off over a give away is amazing.

First, I don't use Twitter. I barely use facebook, and when I do, it's to check in with family members.

Didn't get an email from CCP about the gifts, don't know why, I don't have much in the way of spam blocking active.

If there was a banner ad that popped up during login, then it was likely one of the many that got obscured by the "update client" patch window. Which, for some silly reason never came up again. Really, someone has to do something about that.

But, what I don't get, if I'm to petition this, what the hell category do I use? Reimbursement? I didn't lose something. Except the chance to get a free gift. I mean, really, I'm not gonna spend all day trying to figure it out.

Thanks for nothing.

Bah humbug.

The Christmas Gifts are a bonus for logging in at the right time of year. Don't log in? Don't get a bonus. And with the exception of the remap, if you really want some of the gifts you can buy them on the market.

If that is the case, then why do you expect a gift?

The whole point of the gifts was to reward those who log in all the time to play. If you don't play you got what you deserve non?

All this about logging in and being more often online, read twitter, facebook and all that bla bla (wtf?!), I paid for my account(s) that is the reason why I was viable for claiming a gift.
And it's not even your business which gift I want, but you are right it is only the remap that I want which isn't bought on the market.

Just a few words just popped to my mind; real life, family, work and more umimportant things like that. Lol

Look at the attitude of the people who want to deny other people their gifts. Sarcastic, insulting and just plain rude.

You already have your gifts. Why are you so against other people from getting the same gifts that everyone is entitled to, but missed out due to various reasons? It's not like we are asking CCP to mail us deadspace modules for free. This is a holiday gift that is available to everyone.

I only found out you had to go to your account management page last night when it was to late :(

I was waiting for a "Redeem" button which is usually the case with gifts... i did not read the blog because I made the erronous thing of assuming it would be one way... and when I found out that my assumption was faulty it was already to late :(

I can.

And I think you are attributing a bit more to it than was intended, doll face. The core point is - people missed out. They missed out because they chose to ignore many potential options for discovering what was going on.

Now they are bitching like typical, ********, Wallmart trolly pushers.

Yeah, the coffee is hot so don't pour it over yourself.

Yeah, you can't walk into the back of the Winnebago while driving to use the toilet. It doesn't steer itself.

I'm simply sick and tired of people that ***** because they missed something that they purposefully ignored. Read the thread. The guy was repeating how he chose to ignore every single possible avenue that CCP had to communicate with him. And he was unhappy they hadn't communicated effectively with him.

Was he expecting a gilded invitation to be hand delivered by Hillmar with an apology for not including a free trip to Thailand?

Now, can you hear yourself?

You're too lazy to tie your own shoelaces, then ***** when you fall down and try to blame me for it. No love, you didn't tie your shoelaces. It's your fault. Not mine.
