windows 8.1 with junction/symlink set up system crash when closing

As title states Ive got windows 8.1 using the windows xp and win 7/vista method for symlinks/junction. Pc crashes with a bug check kernal failure according to logs. Nothing i seem to do fixes it. any suggestions?

Is is a reference_by_pointer crash? If so I also have that issue. I've put in a tech support ticket and included the .dmp file but I haven't heard back yet.
