Booster reactor routing weird

Hi,
I'm trying to set up a reactor for producing boosters. I've set up the proper silos and the reactor, but while I can route water either from the general storage to the reactor or from the reactor to general storage, I can not do both with the same storage. As a result, for a temporary solution I have the following set up:

General 1 -> Reactor -> General 2

Any time I try to do this:

General 1 -> Reactor -> General 1

It simply refuses to accept the second connection (whichever I did first stays). I seem to remember being able to set it up like that before, what changed? Or am I doing something horribly wrong that I forgot?

You can't have loops.

Example of a loop: Silo A → Reactor → Silo A

Probably the most common error when doing drug reactions, i.e. you are not the first. Just one of those undocumented features.
