The reduction of jump fatigue would greatly improve the cadence of game play for covert ops fleets, which was affected in the changes target at sov warfare.

A surprise party isn't really a surprise when you already know that everybody is at you house. Until changes are made to the way local chat works, alleviating the jump fatigue imposed on black ops would have a positive impact on covert ops fleets.

blops already receive a 50% reduction in jump fatigue, all these changes are just making them too powerful with no risk

I'd argue that t doesn't go far enough. Black Ops are a tool for harassment behind enemy lines. Since they cannot warp in cloak they need the ability of stealth and speed which is essential. A 90% reduction does not make them over powered but merely makes then functional.

they do have the ability of stealth, they can can jump in and out of cynos with no bridge, giving a 90% reduction to a combat ship will just make them used more than any other ship and a means to travel across the map in less than no time. why do blops need to warp cloaked if they can jump themselves? they can already fit mjd's so jumping 100km then warping out then cloaking i see is efficient enough for such a crazy ship

The single biggest buff to black ops type fleets would be to actually make nullsec worth the effort. Once the density of targets and blops gangs reaches critical peak, there's content on both sides of the equation aplenty, instead of having to scrape 10 regions to find one target. So long as line members source their income outside nullsec, this will never happen.

Vote Vic Jefferson for CSM X.....XI.....XII?

Give them the same warp bubble immunity as Interceptors.

Agreed with #2.

For #1 I'd like to see a larger scale solution that affects all ships. I've had the same problem as Tempelman; I simply cannot fly in nullsec as Chance and have any hope of actually being stealthy.

For #3 I don't know enough to say it's a GOOD idea but it is certainly a COOL idea.

1 i agree, the range may need to be looked at. Crying about local giving you away may mean u need a new toon though kek.

2. no. no no no. the concept of a blops was never to jump and tank like a god while blazing nerds. thats what supers are used for B) if your worried about a ship dying then fit reps in the utility highs, bring triage, or go balls deep and see if you can live the dream and solo a carrier's geckos. yes they are expensive. but if a napoc with double the dps and a jump drive isnt op enough, i don't know what is.

3. i agree that the different classes need work. but at the same time i would say that ive seen plenty of awesome blops uses from all the different classes, and they can do all the roles that are needed.

From the point of view of a returning player. Blops is why I resubscribed. Being a former DNS member, It's my understanding that blops is "next" to dead. I'll likely not stick around EVE for long.

Or you could...you know...get out of an NPC corp and into a player corp that does nightly BLOPS....

He will win who knows when to fight and when not to fight.

He will win who, prepared himself, waits to take the enemy unprepared.

What's the fuzz about BLOPS, it's a bad timing after fozzie announced delayed local (like in wormholes).

Covert Cynos not appearing on the overview is gonna be overpowered as hell coupled with wh-local.

Blops is far from dead. Properly managed, timers for the drop fleet can be nonexistent. ie wait between drops, fly back yourself, your in a cloaky after all.

I like the odd blops, but it gets old after a while unless your the HK. These days you don't get counter dropped nearly as much as you use to. That was fun sometimes. 60 dommies gets dropped on your 20 bombers... or AF or whatever.

Blops is like gate camping. Sure its fun and funny sometimes, but you don't want it to be the only way you play eve.

I cannot find any reference to this claimed delayed local in nullsec. Do you have a source?

[edit] also covert cynos already don't appear in the overview.

BLOPS are far from dead. The ones that dies are the "targets".
Killmails keeps coming. This is why CCP has had to rein in the BLOP mechanic and indeed the ships to be a glorified
jump taxi.

The only thing that stands between perma drop farming nullbears, hapless "miners" and displaced nubs in 0.4 and triggerhappy killmail addicted lowsex pirates is CCP blops mechanics.

And that is not even counting the massive death of ships that pure bombing causes with dry jumping hot drops and on grid bookmark set ups, and rearming bombs @ a cloaky hauler stash..

Agree with 1), no experience flying Blops to comment on 2) and 3).

Also as it was mentioned: I too would like to see something done about local it really does spoil things.
