In all my experiences with "goons", i've found them to be nothing but helpful and wonderful to each other. Sure, we love to haze, troll, and laugh at eachother for how bad we are at everything (for real how do I spaceship) but at the end of the day a large majority of the most awesome people I have met in my short time in EVE online have been goons and CODE agents.

As a matter of fact, if it wasn't for the evil goons I would still be sitting in high-sec mining some stupid rock and actually believing the others around me who had me convinced that it would be years of skill training before I could ever dare be part of the whole PVP experience. I got lucky, found the CFC, and a week later I was a part of one of the largest battles in sov null last month and having the time of my life.

Yep, I'mma go ahead and 100% agree with this.

My time with GoonWaffe has so far been pretty awesome. Goons are amazing to each other, just not so amazing to anyone not-Goon, is all. Or jerks like this guy. :P

Your not getting the point, the point is, everyone comes from different backgrounds so everybody should be shown respect. Just because a person with prior military experience joins a corp doesnt mean they want it run like that, they want the personal interaction between himself and others to be on a respect based level, so why your bringing this up, I have no clue but your obviously not staying on track with the conversation due to lack of brain power or just trying to make goons like better, I dont know but either way, its not suiting you too well.



This post is exactly why people are saying your acting entitled. I don't know what part of the military you come from but I can say this. Everyone gets hazed. In civilian life as well, everyone gets hazed. Goons are well known for being jerks, it comes with the territory. This game is one big community, and some of the people for better or worse think you have to prove yourself. If your throwing in the towel after 7 days, then pick a different group of friends and move on. If you want a group of people who will care about you in game and out, toughen up and stick it out. If they call you out on something, rather than get pissy about it, try thinking about what they said and if it applies to you. If it doesn't, fire back and laugh about it later, if it does, take the advice if its good and roll with it.

I started playing a little under 2 months ago now, and spent a good part of that time in Karmafleet. The Karmafleet experience was extremely laid back, low-pressure, and a great way to get into the game. Everyone was extremely friendly and I still hang out in the Karmafleet channel on out-of-game comms to see what's going on even after I joined my RL friends in ENL-I.

OP, If you got the treatment you're claiming from Karmafleet and Goonswarm, I can only imagine how terrible it is dealing with you. Goons adore newbees to the point of near-worship, I've never ran across a more welcoming and forgiving environment in an MMO.

You really should reassess how you approach things.

The OP failed to assimilate into the Goon Hive mind. He was schedule to be put into a reclamation pool so that his biological material would not go to waste but it seems he escaped during transit.
