In-Game Events and Gatherings

NPSI (Not Purple Shoot it) has been around in Eve since 2006, however in recent years public PvP communities and events have greatly increased in both popularity and frequency. As the best kept secrets in Eve, these groups provide PvP opportunities to players of all experience levels without any kind of commitment or obligation. This thread will help you find these groups, find out how you can participate, and get answers to any questions you may have about the NPSI playstyle.



Open PvP Communities

RvB Ganked
Channel: "RvB Ganked"

RvB Ganked has been roaming into Lowsec and 0.0 every Saturday for over two years, commanded either by CSM9 member Mangala Solaris or various Guest FCs. Roams are usually based on a theme that changes every week and is announced in advance. Although originally dominated by members from RvB only, these roams now see widespread participation.

Spectre Fleet
Channel: "Spectre Fleet"

Spectre Fleet is the largest and most active NPSI community. A command team of over 50 FCs come together to run multiple fleets fleets everyday, with large fleets and special events scheduled days in advance. The main ships flown are easily insured T1 frigates and cruisers, that are designed as part of a doctrine. Battleships, and other T2 ships are used for special events.

Redemption Road
Channel: "Redemption Road"

Redemption Road is run by Greygal, former member of Agony Unleashed. Redemption Road runs scheduled fleets primarily on weekends, and often in the AUTZ. The weekly "Sunday Sinners" roam occur on (you guessed it!) Sundays at 1900.

Stille Gewalt
Channel: "Stille Gewalt"

The German NPSI Community! Quite large, and very popular - run by Citriconi and the Stille Gewalt corporation.

Eve Flight School
Channel: "Eve Flight School"

The Russian NPSI Community! I can't read russian, but those who can tell me these blokes fly NPSI.

Bombers Bar
Channel: "Bombers Bar"

This groups rolls stealth bombers to hot spots on the map in nullsec and causes massive amounts of mayhem. Need to be a little advanced in what you fly, but its very possible to get there soon. Occasionally goes wormhole diving, including into Thera, focusing on killing ratting carriers.

Frigs for Life
Channel: "Frigs for Life"

This channel is the successor to the popular "Frigate Fun" channel. As the name implies, this NPSI community is all about frigates, frigates, and more frigates. Fleets depart from the Placid region and usually involve gate camping. EDIT: Possibly Inactive?

Sirsqueebles PvP Streaming Community
Channel: "Sirsqueebles"

Squeebles is an absolute darling. He runs one of the premier EVE streams, with lots of newbie friendly advice handed out, as well as open roams that anyone can join. Twitch Channel: http://www.twitch.tv/SirSqueebles

Largely thought to be an official CCP run channel, this player run group became well known after it was mentioned in a devblog. This channel provides information on events run by CCP as well as occasionally forming a fleet for the event itself.

The actual official live events channel is simply called "Events" but no one seems to use it. Instead, when CCP employees form a fleet that players can actually engage, the announcement is made both on the official forums and devblogs, then kept updated through the Live Events twitter.

Other Special Events

On occasion, certain individuals will host community wide events that range from kill-my-super to a simple frigate free-for-all. These are extremely sporadic and (usually) tons of fun. When one of these events is announced, I'll update this space here.

More people joining these the better. Its a great way for those new to pvp to get their feet wet, or for bored bitter vets (HAI DAN) to get their pew on without needing to do so as part of a strat OP, or the necessity to own a capital...

Worth mentioning that most Bombers Bar ops run out of Thera now.

I was hoping we could get Violet Squadron added to the list in the original post. We're a small gang focused npsi community that focuses on fleets of two squads and smaller. If we get more interest than that at one time we'll split into multiple fleets to do different things. Our channel is "Violet Squadron".
