As the Title says The Descent Underground Kickstarter just launched.

This looks like a brilliant game it is an updated version of the old descent game. A lot of the original Star Citizen team is involved with this one and I think it looks great. Big smile

Have a look at

I could barely handle the first Descent on a bad laptop screen in the nineties. I can't wait to blow chunks with an HMD.

No more artifacts like last time! Crystal clear disorientation... in both eyes!

I'm just messing around. I wouldn't mind giving Descent a try in 3D.

Huh, wait a minute... did I miss a memo? Weren't those guys working in Star Citizen? Why are they making another game? Question

Chris Roberts moved most of the teams to Los Angeles and Wingman (Eric Peterson) did not want to go, Viewmaster (Michael Morlan) was let go when they stopped making wingmans hanger and he has just gotten back from a shoot in Indonesia and Designopotamus (Rob Irving) also decided not to go to LA just recently.

Frankly Star Citizens loss is our gain, I am hoping this community will manage to capture what is now missing from the Star Citizen community, that friendly atmosphere SC had at the start that seems to have gone now. You go to the forums and there are so few people on there from 18 months ago that still bother to comment.

With the team they have assembled this is going to be a cool game, they have over 100 years of combined experience in space games.

I will admit I have backed Star Citizen, Elite: Dangerous and now this. I love to play elite when i get a minute, I havent bothered to play SC because the magic really is gone but this one really rekindles the hope.

They have the IP for decesent, it is a prequel so no story line redos and they are doing VR with the unreal engine Big smile

Wish I had disposable income and LAN friends still. P

I remember that at one of the universities that I went to was where I had the best Decent PVP. All that strafe circling ... flip over then before they can look up strafe around to one side, etc.

Was brilliant. I even designed a device to incorporate all those 3D motions more intuitively but never built a prototype.
Tried to contact them got a weird form that gave an error. Sales department? Anyway, @#$% it, I am too tired to sort out the hoops to jump through to offer them something.

EVE is becoming shallow and puerile; it will satisfy neither the veteran nor the "WoW" type crowd in the transition.

Rather disturbingly the amounts have slowed.

Given they plan to do an awesome single campaign as well I really hope this makes it.

Looks so good.

It looks like they're not going to make it. This is not good. Want new Descent.

I have given up on kickstarting my childhood memories. No amount of money can bring that back.
