Eww... Chocolate in the US is disgusting...

Thank god they import MILKA which is 'ok'. Compared to the options in Europe though... it's sad to be a chocolate lover living in the US! Ugh

Too lazy to find it now but there is a company that found a loop hole where if you send the chocolates directly to a person's house they could continue operating and selling UK chocolate in America.

I also heard that Cadbury can't market a lot of their sweets as chocolate in the UK because it contains too little cocoa mass (I have not fact checked this).

Couldn't quote anything about England's chocolate laws, but I know America has had to start marketing certain chocolates as chocolate flavored product because the amount of cocoa butter in the chocolate itself was too little to actually make it chocolate, which is really quite sad. Nothing worse than waxy chocolate.

Hershey, the American confectionery giant, has declared legal war on the imports of British-made chocolate such as Cadbury Creme Eggs, Maltesers, Kit Kats and Yorkie bars, claiming that they either infringe the company's US licences or "confuse" customers with similar wrappings and names.
The lawsuits against the two major importers of British sweets has left a bitter taste for businesses that cater to the sweet-toothed cravings not just of Britons but also Americans who prefer their chocolate from across the Atlantic..
